My 8 year old daughter went to camp at Coast Music this summer and loved it! She wasn't very familiar with most instruments but the classes taught her and her band 3 of their favorite songs and they performed so beautifully! We brought friends and family to the show and everyone was blown away. We're starting keys next week! What a positive and warm experience!
Coast Music has been like our 2nd family for the past 5 years. My older daughter takes voice, piano, guitar and songwriting/composition at Coast, and is also in one of their singing groups. My younger daughter takes piano, clarinet, and is in a Jazz band. The teachers are incredible. The camps, band program and classes, in addition to the gigs they play at community events have been an incredible experience for them. The school is expertly run by people who know the music business and what it takes to succeed, but understanding the developmental journey.
My 10 year olds attended the week long summer camp this year and last year at Coast. We did the 1/2 day last year and the full day this year. The absolutely loved it! It was their favorite camp. The band leaders are amazing and they do a good job of letting all the kids try out different instruments and getting them to work together on everything from song choice to band name. Highly recommend!
