“I have been singing with the Santa Monica Concert Chorale for about 10 years. Several years ago my back started hurting at every rehearsal from sitting in the chairs in the rehearsal hall but not in any other chair I sat in. I thought the problem was with the chair, and I put up with this for a couple of years. Because of a different lower back problem, I started seeing Dr. Hall every week while the Chorale was on winter break. Each week my back got stronger and heather. In early February when the current semester began, I returned to rehearsals. After the second rehearsal, I noticed my back no longer hurt from sitting in those chairs. I never expected to be able to sit through a whole rehearsal with no discomfort.“
