I feel so fortunate to have found Lou through a referral. I worked with her before cervical fusion and was so grateful to be in her expert care rehabbing after surgery. Lou is well educated, thoughtful, and yes enthusiastic. If you have an opportunity to work with Lou, take it. She will make a difference for you body and soul!
I have known Lou for about a year and have gone to her multiple times for massages and random small-injury recovery (I am very, very active and tweek a lot of things, frequently). I started training with Lou about 3 months ago, when I decided to turn myself from a very recreational runner into an ultra runner, and signed up for my first 50K race. Well, I ran it about 2 weeks ago, I'm still alive, Lou's customized workouts got me into a great shape, and we are continuing working together towards even bigger and better goals. What I love about having Lou as my personal trainer: customized workouts - both for a long term goal as well as for the week, to account for the actual shape I'm finding myself in. She dutifully reads all of my updates about my workouts and my body's current condition, and adjusts the workouts accordingly. She's supportive and motivating as a coach should be, but listens to me and doesn't push harder than my body can handle. I'm very happy working with Lou, and would not have had the discipline and the know-how to become as solid of a newbie ultra runner this quickly.
I have been seeing Lou for almost a year for personal training and I cannot believe I did not go to see her sooner! She is super inspiring and creates customized workouts that are made specifically for you. Her PT background also helps if you have an injury and she is also lots and lots of fun! I feel so much stronger physically and mentally and I really look forward to her training sessions. (Even though I sweat my butt off!) She has also helped me to discover my new love for mountain biking and her experience has made me a better rider and has given me confidence to challenge myself to go harder and further than I ever have before. Her studio is super cool too and you get to be outdoors in the summertime under the redwood trees. Ahhhh.... If you are looking to make a healthy change in your life, Lou will definitely help you get started. She is not only a great motivator, athlete and knowledgeable trainer, she is a wonderful person too. Thank you Lou!!!
