I can always count on Heno and his team, from office managers to each of the mechanical staff, to act professionally and respectfully, and to skillfully take care of whatever issue I am there for, with utmost care. These guys take pride in what they do. There have also been a couple of times when they could have made good money by just fixing something, but Heno advised me to call the dealership to check if I was still under warranty, and five years after purchase, I still had a warranty. I had no recollection of that! I sincerely appreciate him and his staff and recommend them 100%.
(This review is from a past experience that came to mind.) They did great work for my '96 Camry. As I had expected, it failed smog, and despite my best efforts to get the cat hot and then immediately testing it, I couldn't get it to pass smog. So I looked around for a certified smog repair shop, I found York Auto Care and saw they had good reviews. When I spoke with them on the phone and then in the shop, I got a sense of good communication and professionalism. Let me tell you, there are shops that do good work, but don't have an organized office; and maybe your phone number gets lost and nobody ever gets back to you when they say they will. And so you have to ride the 4 bus across town through Hollywood just to hear "something came up, we'll get it done by tomorrow" 2 times in a row. That doesn't happen at York Auto Care. They kept me in the loop and gave an accurate timeline. They got the job done in one shot, and gave me a nice detailed write up on their diagnostic process and labor. A proper diagnosis requires attention, and has often been a sticking point in my experience, costing extra time and money; so if I find a shop that can do that, I'll keep coming back.
