On October 31 I went to Touch of Elegance and had a manicure with Ana and a massage with Hana. While getting my manicure, before Ana massaged my hand on the table, I put 3 midi rings down on the table as they were a bit loose on my fingers and I didn't want them to slip off. When I got home, I realized I had forgotten the rings. I called the salon immediately but the phone wasn't working. The next day, I walked in and spoke to Ana to ask her for my rings. She said she didn't see them. I said I had left them on the towel or table and she was the one to take the towel and clean things up when she was done while I continued to sit at the table for the massage. It is possible that Ana just wrapped the rings in the towel, threw it in the hamper or laundry machine, not realizing they were in there. But when I asked her to look, she begrudgingly went and wasn't communicative when she came back. She eventually stated she looked in the machine and she did not see any. So I asked her to look at the camera footage since the camera had my table in view. She said she would need to ask the manager Abby and she would call me. Of course she didn't call me, instead I had to call back several times over the next few weeks, asking if her manager looked. Each time, Ana would just say the manager would call me. Eventually she gave me the managers number, stating that she works at another nail salon a few blocks away - Touch of Polish.
I called Abby and played a bit of phone tag, finally reaching her. By November 17, she finally texted me 1 video from when I was still at the table but shortly before I left - with Ana taking the towel, no rings visible but the towel was crumpled up so it's possible they were inside. Or maybe she took them before. Anyway, I immediately responded to Abby's text asking her for the video from when the rings would likely have been in the video. She didn't respond. I called her on November 26 and 28 - she wasn't available, I believe the receptionist said she was on vacation.
On December 12, I went into Touch of Polish to get a manicure and to ask Abby to get me more videos per my text request. She said she would but was with another client so I came back a bit later. When I went back, she said it was more than 30 days so the videos were deleted. I responded that I don't want to put them out but I had put down 3 solid gold rings worth over $500 - I had purchased them over the past 10 years for around $500 and the price of gold has gone up significantly. She was silent. I asked for a store credit to at least make up for their cost when I purchased them. She refused and got upset saying that that was a lot of money and that I shouldn't have waited so long to request the videos. I said yes it is a lot but you had plenty of opportunities to send me the videos as I had called you and Ana and texted you numerous times within 30 days of the event. She dug her heels in, losing a weekly customer.
I likely would have spent at least $3,000 over the course of a year between these 2 salons on weekly manicures, monthly pedicures (and massages as often as possible during those visits). I'm extremely disappointed as Hana gives HEAVENLY massages 10/10. Ana does an excellent job with my manicures - I would give her an 8/10 but she generally has a terrible attitude, extremely unfriendly. So I would say go to them as long as you're careful with your belongings and don't mind unkind techs.

I am really disappointed with this place. First time was great, second time Lin cut me with her nail file. Third time I got her again, I hope for the best. I asked for navy blue and she starts putting on a black with blue sparkles on my nail. We work on creating a blue and I just start giving up And I think she did too. I look at my nails after and theyre cobalt blue WITH sparkles. Not to mention she was in such a rush at that point they were gloppy and puffy when I made it clear I wanted thin nails. She said come back in an hour and she will do them for free (she said it quietly because i think they aren't supposed to do that). I come back and she tells me to only pick a dark color, nothing light. Fine, but also I shouldn't be told what color to get. Then when I sit down in her chair she says it's $10 to color change. I said to her you said it was free. she does my nails in silence and I am feeling more uncomfortable than ever. I get up when she tells me I'm done and I get a $20 out for tip. When I walk away she starts yelling at me to pay for the whole service (humiliation tactic?). I tell her that she said it was going to be free and she said no nothings free. I'm so disappointed and above all feel disrespected. Lin, Lynn, do better!!!

Came to get my regular mani pedi on Thursday pm. May did my nails. I told her I would come back Tuesday am for an early appointment for just color change because I had a trip early on wed morning. My Saturday DAY my nails were all chipped. It's funny because she asked me to use a polish that was $4 more that would not chip. I told her I would normally do it but that I thought I would be OK since I was coming back in just a couple days. But they didn't even last two days. I came to show her on Tuesday that all my nails were chipped and had basically faded which was a first for me. Faded polish. Instead of saying wow you know what I'm sorry maybe that black was old I should get rid of it she started shouting at me in front of my child. I kept explaining to her that all I wanted to do was tell her the polish was bad and that she shouldn't use it on her customer. Next thing I know she kept yelling that I should have used the more expensive polish and I explained that normally I would but didn't want to because I was coming back so soon for another polish change before my trip. Anyway I don't think the correct way of handling a customers complaint is to yell. Maybe consider the fact that your polish didn't last two days the problem and move on.

Beware. There are no rates posted in the shop. They are charging whatever they want and keep raising the price each visit. I would encourage everyone to complain and require the shop to have their rates posted on the wall for transparency. Don't be taken advantage of.

The worst manicure I’ve ever had in my life. She was rushing, she wasn’t paying attention, she painted about 6 layers on all my nails and left half of all the nails messed up. She did not clean anything at all and did not care whatsoever. To pay for that was embarrassing. I want my money back. I’ll never go here again. I am totally embarrassed to be out with these nails.

I have a massive ball on my thumb because of all the paint. She did not clean anything at all and did not care whatsoever. To pay for that was embarrassing. I want my money back. I'll never go here again. I'm embarrassed to post a picture of my nails.

They made my whole nail fall off and did not even stop when I told them to. So upset with this horrible customer service.
