I had the most bangin' experience (pun intended, I got bangs) with Stefanie Cuesta at her downtown salon. Basically, Stefanie is the high priestess of hair. I've come to her before, but stupidly cheated on her with other stylists, but have since learned from my mistakes (cause I am an idiot - they were fine, but they were not Stefanie). My experience this time (per usual) was perfect, I was limited on time, so I asked to cut down on post cut-styling -- this is normally the buffer stylists use so you leave the salon looking fabulous (hide the flaws in the curls!) anyways, but when you try to recreate it at home, you look more like Dudley Moore than Demi Moore. Stefanie has done my hair for over 10 years and she always listens to what I want and executes it beautifully. She makes you feel right at home in her chair. I highly recommend going to Stefanie if you're looking for a new skilled stylist and if you're lucky, gain a new friend.

You know those hairstylists that you always wish you had? You go to them with an idea and they will find a way to make it work for your specific face shape/coloring? That's Stef. I've come to her with the wildest ideas which she then reels in to make sure it will work on me without compromising my original vision. When I wanted inches taken off my hair she made sure I was comfortable with the pictures I chose for the style - and still cut it a little longer because she knew I would like it and also knew she could shorten it if needed. When I went through my bangs stage, she made sure I knew the maintenance required and even helped me learn how to style them at the appointment...read full review
