My time with Valerie was nice. She washed and blow dryed my hair. She styled it very pretty and blended my split ends really well. However, towards the end she gave an expected time to be finished and to inform my mom as well. Within a few minutes another client had walked in and she started on their hair. I knew then the time I told my mom would be way too early. However, I had already informed my mother and she made plans accordingly. When my mom arrived she was a bit upset that Valarie wasn't finished and she began to rush the install a little. I wish she would of have my mom a correct estimated time instead of trying to rush the install. And since I got a versatile part, she sewed a part of my hair funny which began to show when the air touched my scalp. I wasn't able to do a middle part because the track that sewed in funny, was lumpy. None of my tracks should show and I should be able to do a middle part if thats what I paid for. Overall my hair was extremely pretty and she is very talented. I would definitely recommend for a natural look. It looked so natural and neat!!!
After a negative stylist experience, I was frustrated and didn't want to go to just anyone for more of the same. I did my own hair for a year. Lo and behold, I saw a stylist in my Instagram feed. I was impressed that all of the salon's prices were published, the website was professional, and I could get all the products I needed from one place. I had a quick consultation and immediately scheduled and paid for my products and services before my visit. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted with a smile by Valerie and sat down for services almost immediately. In all honesty, I did not provide her with a lot of instruction outside of my how I wanted my part. Nonetheless, I LOVED my hair! And selfishly, I almost did not write this review because I want Valerie available when I need her (smile). Excellent service from a talented stylist was what I expected and received. I now have my forever stylist!
Valerie always cokes through. I highly recommend her. She is one of the most consistent, professional and skilled stylists I've ever met. She wastes no time in giving you exactly what you want. Her studio is beautiful. Valerie herself is one of the most kind and big hearted people I've been blessed to meet. Her energy is one of ease, calm and sweetness. I have so much respect for any woman who owns a business but Valerie makes it look easy even though it is hard work. My money is well spent when i book an appointment with Valerie and I always feel like I'm at the top of my game even though I'm just leaving a salon appointment. Go book your appointment with her now.
