I love Elaine. I have known her for 43 years. This lady knows everything about everything and is a wonderful person! They really take care of the grounds and they love their horses. Take more than extra care with them. More than a personal touch. When you go to leave your beautiful beloved horse there you can leave with confidence that she/he will be well taken care of and looked after with love! The best is at San Rafael. Be it stable, folks, training, encouragement or whatever.. I couldn't find a better place to leave my baby!

San Rafael Hunt Club is one of LA horse community's best kept secrets. I have been riding there over 5 years. Elaine the owner is kind, helpful and available to help solve any problems that may arise. Everyone who boards / rides there is supportive and truly watches out for each other and their horses. Lisa Winkler, of Winkler Performance Horses, is one of the barn's resident trainers. Her passion, knowledge, professionalism, and ability to teach horsemanship from the ground up is exemplary. I highly recommend SRHC as a wonderful alternative to large, overwhelming, often "Drama filled" barns.

I have been boarding and training here since 2000. It is a very form to function barn and I love it! The barn manager feeds good hay and does a stall check sometime in the middle of the night which I am very appreciative of. There are 3 arenas we have access to, turn out, hot walker and access to Griffith Park. It is not "clicky". We have a really nice bunch of horse women there, which is not always found. There is Western training, jumping, huntseat and dressage training available.
