Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services

Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services has been helping children for over a century. It provides wraparound programs, mental health services, foster care, housing, and educational resources so youth can overcome trauma and succeed. Some former residents from the late 2000s recall a program that was sometimes reckless, with difficult experiences regarding medication and staff. However, others report that it made a positive difference in their lives, offering a lot to those who wanted it and helping them live productively.
