I gave him some guidelines, but didn't see the art until the day before the appointment. I decided on some minor tweaks, which he had ready day of. After nervously choking down half a sandwich from Brainwash Cafe, I sat for my three or so hours, and came out with this:
This is a fantastic shop that avoids the snobby overtones that exist in many other shops. Everyone working is friendly. I highly recommend Matt Howse for his superb mastery of american traditional style. I've had two medium sized pieces so far and I don't think I'll go anywhere else. Plus, Matt is SO FAST. It's seriously incredible.
