I am obsessed with MOSA Yoga and Massage. I'm definitely not a hot yoga fan but this a beautiful experience. I always feel so light and graceful after. I started coming here after a break up. I was so sad and the class was healing to my spirit. I look forward to class and my skin glows! The power of touch, dark room, and meditation is all unique. I walk from civic center Bart at 6:30am because MOSA Yoga and Massage is worth it. It's a wonderful addition to my current health and wellness routine.

Maureen is a truly unique & imaginative yoga instructor. I've practiced yoga for more than 25 years and her classes always bring something new to my studies. In our new world of zoom yoga classes, her authenticity and warmth comes across effortlessly and her engagement of all students regardless of the size of her class, is always present. Pre-covid19, visiting Maureen's DTLA lofty studio was always an inspiration as the space is stunning and her home-baked treats & tea & mint water were always so thoughtfully offered. As a designer myself, I so appreciate the attention that Maureen brings to the visual and physical space in addition to her studied and instinctual yoga instruction. I recommend Mosa Yoga & Massage to all my friends, near and far, now with online classes!

Maureen is a deeply skilled and profoundly compassionate individual. She is one of LA's most accomplished and celebrated yoga instructors. I have been a client for over a year under a seniors program sponsored by Jewish Family Services. She also numbers many of the Downtown L.A.'s leading artists and artisans among her clients, and is noteworthy for her volunteer massage and yoga work with the homeless and the elderly at the Downtown Women's Center. Maureen knows that movement is life and she makes a daily difference in the lives of all of us who attend her classes.

Finding an excellent yoga instructor is not easy, and since I've moved to Portland--and have yet to find an instructor as attentive, knowledgeable, and experienced as Maureen--I feel compelled to write this review! It's one thing to be skilled at practicing yoga, but to also be skilled at teaching it takes patience, intuition, and great communication--all of which Maureen possesses, in spades. As a beginner, I walked into Maureen's class a little intimidated, but I quickly felt calm and welcomed. I always left the sessions feeling uplifted in mind and spirit. I always learned something new and also felt I had strengthened and stretched my body just the right amount. Yoga with Maureen is a joy that I miss!

Maureen at MOSA is a true treasure. Her deep knowledge of the human body and empathetic understanding of how yoga can help the body (any body, of all ages and types) inform her teaching and massage. The combination of MOSA yoga and massage literally healed my lower back problems. I also love that Maureen's classes are physical without being an aerobics class with yoga poses, with the perfect amount of the spiritual mixed in. I appreciate the bits of tai chi and breath of fire set to some light samba music...and giggles in the background when Maureen challenges us to a tough pose.
