My wife and I joined a beginner Salsa class at Movers and Shakers. So far it is an amazing program! The instructors create a great sense of community with the dancers and instructors. Another aspect that is great is that the instructors go over in detail how to execute the moves. As a beginner, this was extremely helpful since I have no experience in dance. They were able to cue the dances in an easy to understand way. They also have an app they utilize for at home practice sessions. This has also made the experience better as the app provides content that has a high level of detail of instruction. Overall the program is enjoyable and highly streamlined!

Maria and Alexis are simply hands down the best teachers and performers! I hired them for my birthday party, and they simply crushed it! They made it so much fun, and they made the experience extra special. If you’re looking for a salsa instructor, or someone to teach a fun and interactive lesson for a party—you’ve found your person. They are both amazing! I'm just truly grateful for them. They are both so professional and kind!

I had been to a few dance classes here and there over the years, but mostly I would leave them feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. When I started to look into dance lessons in earnest, I really was looking for a teacher who created a safe, comfortable learning environment to go at my own pace. Maria is that teacher!
I've enjoyed my one on one lessons with her because she is patient, she explains things well, and she normalizes the ups and downs that come with learning something new.
