I love coming to Angelica when it comes to cutting my hair, anything from trimming the ends to changing my hair color. If I'm getting a haircut, I spend anywhere from $40-60 because my hair length is long. I came here the beginning of 2025 to get burgundy balayage and a trim cut and my hair has grown a ton since since. She has a good hand for cutting and allowing your hair to grow rapidly.
Her product is great, it does not burn at all and she's constantly communicating with you if you want your hair to go more short or if the length is good. She never cuts beyond what you tell her. Great service! Clean salon and good prices :)
I been wanting to dye my hair for the longest and wanted to try that new style balayge. I came with Angelica and she did a beautiful job on what I asked for. She is affordable and reasonable with pricing. She is patient and listens to you.
I love that you can walk in! I love my cut! I went in for layers since I've had flat straight hair (no bangs) for about 7 years. I added a blond streak to my bangs but needed styling. I showed the owner what I wanted and she explained the cut and asked how much I wanted cut. So consensual and communicative! I loved it! I got a blow dry and my family loved it too. I paid a reasonable price and the environment was clean. It wasn't hip but it's functional. The stylists are professional. They even make coffee On rainy days! Latinos just have a special way of doing thing. The spanish contemporary music, smell of coffee and plants were a vibe. (Not a hipster vibe) But this place was very relaxed. My schedule had been tough. I did not mind a wait but most places in gentrified Highland park are appointment only. I've had experiences where the hipster places had rude stylist, unwelcoming atmospheres (snobby) or high prices for sloppy work. Not here. The place is kitschy and has been in music videos for its unique charm. I like to support local so besides Don Julio on York, I will now come here! I highly recommend this place - or either really.
