Very satisfied & thankful for comforting professional service after referring a dear friend to assist her with the entire process of losing her loved one. The staff was very accommodating from start to finish. My friend’s entire family was very pleased. Also, the In House Pastor was very good and delivered a on time message at the actual home-going. The chapel was clean and service was organized. Thank for taking care of my friend.

Completely unprofessional and rude . Dr. Sonia was delightful but everyone else here is rude , unprofessional and doesn’t take direction well. Not only have I called several times to get an update on my mother’s remains , they messed up her death certificate . They never return phone calls and seem to not relay information well. I have tried to be patient and respectful, especially when dealing with a bunch of elders , but the way these people handle business is just plain ridiculous . And you try to give your people the benefit of the doubt but unfortunately they check off every stereotype there is when it comes to the issues people have with black owned/ran businesses . Run as far away as you possibly can . Do not recommend whatsoever .

This was not my first choice, however, my mother purchased a preened plan in 1994. So I went with my mother’s wishes. The first time my sister & I went to House of Winston Sonia was nice but her condolences were more perfunctory than sympathetic. The amount that my mother purchased was less than the amount of the service. Sonia offered us a discount rate, but we would have to pay the Pastor. We took the offer knowing that the discounted rate was the exact same price. My sister & I had a good laugh. Two days later someone from the office called to discuss my FATHER. My father died in 1979. I told her to take a minute to see if she wanted to talk about my mother, she did. I came into the office to pay the balance & Sonia asked for a picture of my mother. I sent her the same picture that my sister gave her @ the initial meeting. She said it was to see how my mother combed her hair but they didn’t comb her hair, so what was the picture really for? Before the service took place, December 18, 2025, Sonia would call me back within the same day. Since the service, I have not talked to her, I would leave messages but she wouldn’t return my call. My latest calls were Monday, January 12, 2025 & Wednesday, January 14, 2025 respectively, no return call. The date of my mother’s death was November 27, 2025, I’m still waiting for her death certificate

Losing a loved one is incredibly difficult and if it's your first time, you don't know where to begin. If it was unexpected like mine, you're still trying to figure out what just happened. When we lost our Father, I was completely numb and were unsure as to the what next steps even were. Then, you have to enter in the world of Mortuaries -- which became even more confusing. Among the list of places we were considering, House of Winston stood out as one that was not only willing to work with us, but wanted to make sure we had the space and time to do our research before making our decision.
Price played a big role, but we didn't want a competitive price to mean a lower quality of service. Let me say, House of Winston OVER delivered on our expectations.
Our Father was simple guy, but we still wanted to honor him a way that would make him proud, and House of Winston did just that. We worked with Fraser, who was very communicative, caring, and wanted to make sure our Dad looked his best AND, the services were how we wanted them to be. Fraser did just that. Dad looked amazing. Truly looked like he was sleeping --which is what we wanted. We have zero complaints, and are glad we made the right decision! Thank you Fraser & House of Winston.

A Heartfelt Thank You to House of Winston Funeral Services.
I would like to sincerely thank the entire team at House of Winston Funeral Services for the extraordinary care and compassion shown to my family and me. From the viewing to the Celebration of Life service, everything was handled with such grace, excellence, and attention to detail.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable every step of the way. Their kindness brought peace to a difficult day, and their professionalism reflected genuine love and respect for our family.
The new vehicles were absolutely stunning true luxury and it was a special honor for us to be the first family to experience them.
I truly thank God for House of Winston Funeral Services and their service to families is a ministry of love and compassion that does not go unnoticed.
May God continue to bless you, your company, and every team member who helped make my mother’s homegoing so beautiful and memorable.
1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV, says “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
We are ever so grateful! Thank you all so much! May God bless you all!

This funeral home has served the Los Angeles community for the past 51 years. It is a caring place for honoring the life of your loved ones and it is also a great place to work for.
