Unbelievable incredible work by Horimaki, worth every single penny. I'd had this tattoo for 17 years, and it was a difficult job due to the size, shape, and additional scarring from stretch marks. Maki was thorough and patient, and her work is brilliant. We collaborated on the design, as I came in unsure of what exactly I wanted, but knew there were indigenous images of serpents that had been calling to me. My desire was essential some kind of a snake, with a feminine bent to it, and she recommended the Japanese snake and peony design. Two sessions, 7.5 hours later, and we had the perfect tattoo. We drive up from San Diego for every appointment, and let me just say—it’s absolutely worth it. Inked Zen has become more than just a tattoo studio for us. This is now our sixth session, as my boyfriend is working on a full back piece, and every visit has been a consistently positive experience.
