I had a very unpleasant experience at this salon today. When I called to ask if they accept walkins the person on the phone explained that her 9am was a no show and she had no other appointments so she was going home. She asked how long it would take me to get there. I told her 40 min. She said she would wait.
When I arrived there were 2 stylists, a person under the dryer, and 2 other customers. A short while later a woman with 2 kids came in & another stylist. So much for closing up & going home.
While getting my hair washed I was asked how I was enjoying it. I told her that she could apply more pressure (I love a good head scratching) & well we don'talways get what we ask for. Also, she barely conditioned my hair.
The absolute kicker for me was when it came time to give me the tight curls I requested. Now keep in mind that I just watched this stylist give the woman before me beautiful tight, spiral curls. Just like the beautiful curls the person in the chair next to me (the customer who was under the dryer when I arrived) was getting.
Just when the stylist started to curl my hair the woman with the 2 kids started making comments about having to leave for an appointment she has 40 min away. The stylist next to us (the woman I spoke to on the phone) tells the mother not to worry, that my stylist is going to be finished soon and get to the children. Oh really!!!! Like, how? Apparently by rushing because she proceeds to slap big, clunky curls in my hair, swirls the chair around and asks me how I like it. I don't!!!!!!
Then they had the unmitigated nerve to charge me $145 and didn't even use a cape when they trimmed my ends. Hair all over my shirt.
Welp, guess I'm still on the hunt for a good salon.

My favorite place to get my ethnic hair done in LA. I've been a client of Clara's Josefina Erika and Janay since 2013. Even though I no longer live in Southern California, this is my go-to place to get my hair done every time I come here. I love you girls. Thank you so much 💓 to keep our hair beautiful healthy and natural, I recommend this place, special for natural (AFRO) hair.

Needed a blowout on my sew in ASAP and they had availability the day of. I forgot the name of the woman who did my hair but she was efficient, professional, and continued to ask me questions during the process.
I’m grateful they had availability to fit me in.

In a sketchy area be careful ladies , very ghetto and don't know how to take care of quality hair just know how styling....just imagine some girls from around the way putting their money together to get a Salon but never went to cosmetology school

Hair was left frizzy, she didn’t do a proper trim and she used a horrible smelling oil on my hair. I felt rushed and my hair definitely was not silky when I left … within 2 hours my hair was puffy and frizzy!

My new go to place! I went for a blowout and loved the space (salon is so cute and clean) the service, and the price. I felt welcomed and left feeling beautiful! Erika was awesome and I look forward to going back many more times :)

Clara did my hair today ! It’s a bit hard to find the salon but cute on the inside. I’m giving the salon a low score because Clara barely washed and conditioned my hair. She rinsed dye out of my hair then asked if I wanted it to be conditioned too ?. I booked for a roller set but she just sectioned me and put me under the dryer no rollers.
The Blowout: I was so uncomfortable. First of all I felt like the blow dryer was burning me and hitting me. The towel fell I had to ask her could I use it to cover my ears. Secondly she was on the phone half of the time while blow drying my hair. At then end when it was time to straighten she straightened huge pieces. I had to ask her to straighten it again because it was very frizzy. She just did my hair like she could care less. Poor experience overall. And they are not cheap. Not worth the price or the distance.

The service was incredible and I'm in love with the results! Definitely recommend Miss Erika and will be returning for future press/cuts/maintenance :)

I came to visit Los Angeles and needed a place to dry my hair, searching here on Google I found this place, Ms. Clara, a beautiful person, and not only did she leave my hair beautiful, she also made some small changes and recommendations to make it look better. more beautiful, so I left it with my eyes closed and I was really surprised! She is very sweet, friendly, a real professional and I will definitely return to this place whenever I come!! Good job ?
