I had acupuncture (for the first time) with Portia. She reviewed some of the issues I mentioned in the pre-filled forms. Ask me about my reasons for acupuncture. We discussed some issues I had that encouraged me to come to acupuncture. After discussion, She walked me through the process, what I would feel, and where she would poke and why those areas.She then helped me relax (relaxing is foreign to me) in the room by guiding me through breath work, and setting the mood in the room and covered me with a blanket.I surprisingly napped and relaxed. Cannot recommend highly enough! I've been seeing Portia since 2018. I live with chronic health challenges and Portia's treatments have been truly life changing. Her expertise has helped reduce my joint and muscle pain, fatigue, insomnia, chronic GI upset, migraines and more. I've also seen marked improvement in anxiety, sleep, and immune strength due to her treatments coupled with her breadth of knowledge and herbal formulation recommendations. Deeper Genius has changed my quality of life for the better. Portia was my first introduction to acupuncture and cupping. I started with small treatments, and after my very first full visit/treatment, I noticed a significant improvement in my neck/shoulder tightness, pain and discomfort (the reason for my visit). I'm not sure how I was making it before these treatments...whew! I've since experienced many other benefits to acupuncture, including but not limited to reduced stress and tension in my whole body.
