Dr.Sheriff was very caring, she was checking my cat Luna!
Luna is a senior cat, she lost some weight recently and she was not feeling well. Doctor and her assistant did a great job looking after Luna, they took her to the lab inside in the hospital for blood work and urine test.
The entire process was very quick: I had the appointment in time, full checkup on my kitty was done as much as needed, and the blood work took only 20-30 minutes.
They gave Luna 🐈‍⬛ for home pain medicine for 7 days, she’s taking it as needed; they gave her a hydration boost at the lab, also some great wet can food for senior cats to take home. Luna liked it, and she began eating it right away once we were back home. Also doctor gave her appetite stimulants for 5-7 days, and it helps my pet. I see that she began eating a little more.

We’re still waiting on her blood work results, but I hope Luna will get better, and will heal soon 🙏🏻

Thank you so much Dr.Sheriff and all the personnel for being very caring, professional and helpful ❤️‍🩹🐈‍⬛😻

I have been bringing my dog here since I moved to Palms over 3 years ago, and they always take such great care of her. Whether it's a routine check up or a last minute appointment/emergency, the team at Culver Palms Animal Hospital takes the best care of our pup. If you're looking for a vet in the area, I highly recommend them!! They truly care about and love your pets, they provide thorough and thoughtful care, and they clearly communicate all costs and expectations up front. Could not ask for more!

Wonderful, amazing, kind, warm, attentive and compassionate! Also, they have the BEST chairs - my cat curled up and went right to sleep in the exam room ;) Doctor and all staff were excellent.

Best to take your pet somewhere else, so many better options for your animals in the area.

We really appreciate the attention and love Beave receives whenever we come in. Also, from the front to the back ( Katie ❤️) and Dr. B, we respect the on going advice you have given us since our labradoodle was 12 weeks old to 18mths old. We hope to have many more healthy years of visits! We highly recommend Culver palms animal hospital to new and older fur parents.

I went with this vet because it was the nearest vet that took my dogs pet insurance. However, come to find out, when my dog was seriously sick, they do not take walkins. Do NOT put this vet within your pet insurance because this vet is not reliable for emergencies. My dog was going to this vet for >3 years. When he was sick, pooping blood, severe vomiting, and trembling, upon arrival the reception said “we don’t take walkins” and gave addresses for the nearest ER vets. Looking at the appointment list at the desk, everyone had appointments for nail trims & physicals. This vet does not prioritize your dogs health when it matters most. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

It’s fine- definitely feels like a business more than animal care, but they are friendly and get the job done.

I’ve been taking my dog to this clinic for about a year and a half and have mixed feelings. We’ve generally had a very good experience with the vets. The office staff, however, leave something to be desired. Most of the staff are friendly and want to be helpful however they tend to be inconsistent and seem a little inexperienced.

I’m almost always placed on hold when I call, even though there’s generally 3-4 staff working the front desk and rarely that many people demanding their attention at once. Today I actually called ahead of my appt to let them know I was running late. They put me on hold for 6 minutes during which time I arrived at the clinic and walked in to a completely empty waiting room and 3 staff members sitting quietly at the front.

Wait times at the clinic are definitely on the longer side. We’re usually seen 15-20+ min after our appt time, even for vet tech appts.

On 2 separate occasions I’ve been given flea/heartworm meds that would expire before the 6 months in which my dog would use them. Both times I caught the mistake and to my surprise was told they did not have a non expired med in stock.

Last summer when my dog was seen for his annual they were out of bordatella vaccines so we had to schedule a separate appt and come back to get it.

The staff is also not the best at checking for upcoming vaccines/testing that are due. Today I brought my dog for vaccines but it wasn’t until after I left the office that I received a notification that he was also due for heartworm testing. This is not the first time this has happened and when I called the office for clarification I had a particularly frustrating conversation with Tom who very matter of factly told me he offered the testing (he had not), blamed me for the mix up, and then hung up the phone without saying goodbye.

Needless to say I feel very conflicted about staying at this clinic. The vets and the convenience of having this place in my neighborhood is what’s kept me here thus far but there’s certainly quite a bit of room for improvement.

I recently moved from the valley and had to leave my wonderful vet behind. My partner recommended Culver Palms as she’s been bringing her dog there for years. My first visit with Dr. Sheriff to treat a perpetual ear infection(which my cat has a history of over the year) was great. She was warm, asked good questions, and was comprehensive. When the I ran out of meds earlier than the regimen required and the ear infection hadn’t improved, I brought the cat in for a recheck. Dr. Bergstrom was cold, lacked any bedside manner with both me and the cat, and used a tone that accused me of not properly treating my cat’s issue. He proceeded to mansplain in minute detail every step of the process of treatment including taking the med out of the fridge, warming it in your hand, and so on. He did the same about cleaning the ear. He made it clear that he thought I was lying or I’m incompetent. I’ve been successfully treating my cats ears for years and this is the first time I’ve had any issue with them not getting by better. He left it with referring me to a specialist -which is the right call-but continued to use a tone that blamed me as he did so. He displayed no curiosity about what might be going on and he seemed put off by my questions. As a pet owner who has seen dozens of vets and spent untold thousands on my pets in the last decade, I’ve never felt so disregarded and condescended. I’ll give CPAH another chance due to Dr. Sheriff but I will not see Dr. Bergstrom for any reason ever again.
