My experience was not great but I don’t think it reflects fully on the office. I don’t think their practice caused me injury but I caution that it might have led to serious problems down the line.

My main critique: I came in with agonizing pinched nerve neck pain. Chiropractor Glenn Fischel said I needed 58 adjustments to be able to correct my spinal kyphosis (in a span of a few months). I was more than desperate at the time looking for relief so I signed up for the $1,329 package.

After two rounds of strong neck “cracking” I voiced my real concerns that this didn’t feel safe. He listened and didn’t give me a third treatment, instead referring me to an mri office. After the $300 mri, I found my disc was herniated to a “severe” 7mm amount, with 3 other impacted discs. My friend’s father is a spinal surgeon who told me to immediately get a neck brace for traveling. Thus began a very painful summer of recovery through rest and physical therapy.

When the findings were reported to the office after getting an mri, Camarillo called me directly and let me know I’d get a refund for the majority of the initial deposit.

I think everyone had the best of intentions but I caution against forceful adjustments by just looking at 3 X-rays photos. I’m not a spine expert whatsoever, but I do believe it was important to understand if someone has a severe herniated disc vs. some muscle cramping due to cervical kyphosis.

Again, very nice and well intentioned staff, even though Fischel did come off slightly arrogant at times. I think that they do good things for the community overall, I just want to put my word of caution out there from my personal (somewhat frightening) experience.

I am amazed at with the progress I've had with my pain since I first visited Dr. Camarillo's office. After a year and a half of working from home, I developed back pain and sciatica. Getting up took an eternity, long distant drives and touching my toes seemed impossible. I called this office, they checked my insurance, and had my first appointment that very week. The assistants that answered my call were kind, and helpful. They didn't sound like they were giving me a script, and eventually, started greeting me by name at my appts. Dr. Camarillo was always on time, and had a smile on his face. Before he started working with me, he sent me out to get X-rays for my safety, and to avoid giving me unnecessary care and charges. After going consistently for a few months, I finally felt like myself again. Back pain gone, and sciatica only obvious when I'm not moving enough. I hadn't been to other chiropractors, but have heard horror stories, and I'm glad that didn't stop me from coming here. His office speaks Spanish, and it made me happy to see older, monolingual Spanish speaking patients be treated with respect and patience. I recommend this office 100%. I'll be back as soon as I need a tune-up.

Always a great experience with Dr Camarillo. He has helped me through multiple issues and always pays great attention to detail. Daniel the masseuse is phenomenal as well - a massage that actually releases tightness in your body, doesn't just feel well.

Dr. Camarillo is hands down one of the best chiropractors in Los Angeles. Not only is he talented but he really cares about his patients and their journey to healing. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave feeling better then when you came in.

P.S The front staff carol and sandy are amazing.
