About California Market
California Market is a Korean supermarket that has been serving families in Southern California since 1987. It offers a wide selection of international goods, including fresh produce and Korean specialties. The market is known for its unique shopping experience, combining Korean and American products. Customers praise the freshness of the produce, the variety of Korean dishes such as grilled mackerel, japchae, and gimbap, and the reasonable prices. The shelves are well organized and of a manageable size, and the staff are friendly. The market also features a bakery, fried chicken restaurant, and Coffee Bean, with indoor parking for convenience. It is open until midnight, making it a good choice for late-night shopping. While the fish is not the best, it is still among the better options in Korean town markets, especially the room temperature ones. Overall, many find it a great place to shop for everything needed for Asian cooking, enjoying fresh bread, sushi, and drinks at affordable prices.
This place is the best market in ktown. Best bbq, fish, and Korean deli.. absolutely #1 kimchi, love it. Gaju Market is my favorite spot for Korean BBQ in K-town. Fresh meat, amazing organic Asian vegetables, great prices, and everything feels clean, safe, and lively. Love the energy every time I come here. ❤
One of my favorite market in LA. They do have a variety of Asian ingredients such as Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and more with the freshness and quality products as well. If you like Asian cuisine, you should go there!!!
They have upgraded their hot food options. The Fried chicken is surprisingly good. They also have a kimbap shop in the back that is good fast and convenient. Asian groceries have always been a little pricey but it's getting worse these days unfortunately
