We were looking for the Home of Peace Memorial Park when we came across Beth Israel Cemetery. The two are right next to each other. Beth Israel is much smaller (about 4,500 burials) and it's mostly concrete raised slabs with vertical headstones (a combination of Israeli and European styles). There is no grass but there are trees. It's row after row of concrete graves with vertical headstones (a combination of European and Israeli flat-laying stone crypts. Beth Israel is a Jewish cemetery. It opened in 1907 and is the second Jewish cemetery in Los Angeles. There's a wire fence between the two cemeteries.
