Vets were very reassuring about my dogs well being and answered all my questions with helpful advise about his at home care.

I can't figure out how to reply to a comment on here so i'll just add-- the review wasn't really because of the timeliness issue. Although you guys are closed more days of the week than you are open, and really hard to get a hold of.
What really sealed the one star for me was when I took my cat for a routine checkup here. The vet wanted to get a urine sample from her but refused to do it during the appointment; they sent me home to collect my cat's urine with some vague instructions. I'm not a medical professional so obviously i got cat piss all over the place. Maybe it was the doctor's sick idea of a joke. When I brought the sample in they told me it wasn't enough and to try it again. I decided to find a different vet that wouldn't ask me to do their work for them.
Los feliz animal hospital has been awesome so far.

I took my dog here a few days ago. The main vet gave a bunch of information that was not part of the reason we came in. He said he would give me a prescription for a special type of food and forgot. He also forgot that he said he was going to give my dog a blood test. The clinic was empty at the time just me and one other pet owner. Don’t know why he was so forgetful. I decided not to return.

Don’t go here. I could say so many reasons why but this sums it up well…vet told me to get my kitten neutered and microchipped at the same time because of pain…when they neutered him they forgot to microchip him.
Everytime we went they forgot something, we got over charged (check your invoice they double charged us a couple times) or it took hours.
Over $1,500 to get his basic vaccines and neutering (and microchipping which we didn’t get). One time they took so long (over 3 hours) that my kitten peed himself waiting, this was his first vet trip not a great start. We had an appointment booked not a drop in.
Don’t bother with this place. There’s another vet 300ft down the road. Gonna try there. Maybe they will remember to microchip my cat. Upset because it’s going to hurt him now.

The professionals here have provided such great care for my two cats! The staff are always welcoming, kind, and thorough in their explanations. They also make sure to send reminders for appointments and upcoming care for which your pets are due. The veterinarians truly care about providing the best medical support they can for your pets; they take the time to get to know their patients (and the patients’ humans), and tailor their recommendations accordingly.
The facilities are very clean. Even when there’s a wait, the staff do their best to keep everyone updated.

This place used to be fine; theyd neglect to write my cats’ weight down on any paperwork but it was otherwise solid. I hadnt been back in a couple years when i returned today. First, the vet tech said “it’s hard to count her breaths” while doing the respiration assessment (bc my cat has long hair) which is troubling because breathing is a specific issue i said ive had concern with and it did not seem like she was confident in her assessment. Dr cornelius (?) made no effort to ameliorate himself to my nervous cat, and was visibly and verbally annoyed with her squirming a little while he forced open her mouth to look at her gums. Next, the vet techs were unable to do any of the tests on my cat because my she “got feisty” (i was not present but i believe she would not like getting tests—is this not common?), and they said i needed to purchase a sedative and return another time. Maybe this is normal but my cat is not like an especially antisocial cat so it surprised me. I do not care about professionalism for the sake of it but i witnessed a disorganized front desk of people arguing with each other trying to figure out the vaccine schedule for another guy and his dog; and, after id paid i told the vet tech i was just waiting for my cat still, and she straight up said “oh i kinda forgot about her back there”, which, fine, but insane to tell me to my face about someone obviously very important to me? I dont write reviews really but the vibes were very bad and i hope they do something about it. I will be trying a new vet for the remaining tests and treatment my cat needs.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! I was looking for an affordable vet to have my kittens spayed and neutered. I called this clinic, explained that my kittens were about 10 weeks old, and specifically asked if they could perform the procedure at their age. I was told yes, so I scheduled a consultation. On the day of the appointment, I brought both kittens with my sister. The waiting room was empty, and we were seen right away. The staff weighed the kittens, did a wellness exam, and asked if we had questions. We explained we wanted them spayed/neutered, microchipped, and asked about flea treatment. A nurse mentioned specials for kittens, and when the vet came in, she told us they’d need bloodwork before surgery and that chipping would be done at the same time to avoid extra pain. She also gave us advice about fleas and diet. Everything sounded fine, so we agreed to the bloodwork. When we checked out, the visit cost around $600, including about $180 per kitten for bloodwork. At the front desk, things went downhill. The three people at the desk didn’t know how much the procedure itself cost, and even after calling a manager, no one seemed sure. At one point, my sister and I weren’t even sure if we were supposed to be standing there because no one acknowledged us. Eventually, they figured out a total (after I reminded them I’d already paid for bloodwork) and scheduled the surgery for the following Wednesday. They wanted me to make a down payment for the surgeries but I was already put off by them so I didn’t, thank goodness. A few days later, I got a voicemail from Michael at the clinic, saying the vet usually waits until kittens are six months old to perform spay/neuter. I was furious—why did they schedule me, put my kittens through bloodwork, and take my money if they knew this? Worse, by the time my kittens turned six months, the bloodwork would need to be repeated, meaning I’d have to pay for it all over again. I called back and spoke to a woman who repeated the same explanation: “the doctor waits until six months. ” I told her that I had called ahead before scheduling and was told it was fine. I also told her that I would go to the clinic and demand my money back. But after talking it over with my sister, we decided to let it go, because it would probably be a lost cause and they likely wouldn’t refund me anyway. Later that same day, I got another voicemail, this time from Norma, saying they’d spoken to the doctor and manager and would go ahead with the procedure after all. By that point, I had completely lost trust. Between the incompetence of the front desk staff, the confusion over prices, the unnecessary bloodwork, and the lack of clear protocols, I would never allow them near my kittens again. I don’t know how their other services are, but from what I experienced, this clinic is disorganized, misleading, and more focused on money than proper care. I strongly advise you go somewhere else.

EDIT: I did just receive a very friendly phone call from corporate apologizing for everything and letting me know that they are under new management since my last visit. I still will be seeking services elsewhere but appreciated the call. They have different hours in June that i guess they informed people of by email (I just checked my emails from them, of which i have many, and none of them is about new June hours). Doesn’t match google maps or the posted hours on the door, either, but good for others to know.
Closed during open hours today! (10:45 AM on a Friday, with a sign saying they’ll return at 2:30). Not my first bad experience here unfortunately. They used to be great, and handled the tragic death of my dog really well. Everybody was so nice. Only weird thing was I learned the vet doesn’t do neuters for moral reasons (???) but does do spays. What is possibly the moral difference between a spay and a neuter when a spay is the more invasive procedure??? On my next visit with my new pup, the (different) vet seemed honestly scared of dogs, which was odd. The assistant was great with him though. The next time I walked in for an emergency ripped dew claw they said they didn’t have space but I could go to the silverlake location. Ladies at the front desk were so rude. They seemed extremely annoyed when I asked if they could please share the phone number of the other location. Truly some of the worst customer service I’ve ever received as a returning customer to a business. Today I learned that they never sent my dog’s medical history to my pet insurance so I’ve been paying pet insurance for 2 years with no actual coverage. If my dog had a life or death emergency the surgery wouldn’t be covered. Thankfully I found out today when I called to get a claims question answered. They said they’ve been calling them and emailing them with no response. That’s when I drove over to get it in person and the place was closed during business hours. Unfortunately they’ve lost my business. There are much better options right down the block.

This Veterinary clinic has no right to be a “ clinic “ even in dire situations I would advise you to never come here-, waiting was a huge problem. Though it compares to nothing; we had unnecessary bills and unnecessary tests ran that we told them not to do- specifically so our pet could get a much needed surgery. This is an unethical place - along with cruel.
