“I had such a great experience at Dolly Effect at the Los Altos location! The front desk attendant was warm and welcoming—she took the time to go over my intake form where I indicated the kind of lash style I wanted to go for (natural/wispy/eyeliner effect). She explained the types of curls and lengths thoroughly since it was my first time. I was comfortable and relaxed the entire appointment, which lasted about 2 hours, and there was no discomfort or stinging throughout. My technician was very skilled and the result was exactly what I wanted! I’m so happy with how they turned out and have received many compliments! Not to mention the studio is super clean and calming. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!“

“Very relaxing experience with great service. I got a manicure and a pedicure: right as I walked in with my mom we got seated down in massage chairs while getting a relaxing foot massage and arm massage. They also exfoliated my legs and put lotion; they have never felt softer. Overall great experience and really recommend!“

“Hidden gem in Downtown Los Altos. I’ve normally been to Nail Salons having been raised in East Bay & working in South Bay San Jose but this one is becoming a frequent stop of mine. I love that Downtown Los Altos is so relaxing, a great place for a walk around window shopping, some coffee or errands. Downtown has Hygia, a top tier nail salon, maybe downtown is just missing a Day Spa with a Sauna or a Dessert Shop like Europe and they may be set. Anyways, my previous nail salon next to my Home changed ownership, sadly and service went down. Also I noticed the acrylic material would not last at my old Nail Salon more than two weeks but NOT the case here at Hygia, their acrylic lasts forever to me and I'm known to do heavy work and house work with my hands. Also the color that goes on top of the acrylic, usually that chips off too at other places and so far I'm still good. Jenn was my last Nail Tech but all of the ladies are so nice and comforting, as well as talented. Sometimes there's no consistency in end product but here the experience with acrylic sets has been great. Make it part of your Downtown Los Altos routine or next to place to take in some self care, treat yourself to Hygia soon!“
