Comfortable, Artsy, and Friendly Environment.PROS: The atmosphere of this salon is great - very open, stylish, and edgy. The individuals working here appear to hold the same vibes, and everyone appeared grounded and professional. I love the neighborhood, the art on the walls, and the individual stations for hairdressing. But the definite highlight was Maggie. She is incredibly sweet, honest, and talented; I appreciate her bringing my hair back to life, with the cut I requested.CONS: I can't say there are cons. It isn't a "cheap" salon, but I won't complain considering how expensive so many other places can be - and it was worth it.Highly Recommend this Salon. ??

Surreal Salon is staffed with incredibly talented and empathetic people!! Outside of good service, it's important to me to feel welcome and in a nonjudgmental zone, which Surreal is! They saved me from a nasty haircut I gave myself with strategy, teamwork, and a sense of embracing humor! Couldn't have asked for better. And, of course, the cut came out gorgeous!

Surreal Salon is professional, affordable, and fun. This is hands down the best salon in LA. I’ve been all over this town, the state, really the west coast in general trying to find a stylist that is not only willing to work w/ a mixed girl’s curly hair but also treat it right and not charge me $300+! Kat was totally honest with me & her experience level with my hair type.. we worked together to fix my hair when it was missing patches and falling out from a botched touch up from dark brown to platinum. We are also an Art Gallery, that sells art by local Long Beach Artist’s & displays their incredible murals on our walls. Our upscale salon & spa provides haircuts, advanced color techniques, makeup artistry, airbrush tanning & skin services.
