A man who blamed his surgeon for ongoing pain after a recent back surgery bought an AR-style rifle hours before opening fire at a Tulsa medical office, killing the surgeon and three other people before fatally shooting himself, police said Thursday. Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin says the gunman had recently undergone back surgery and had called a clinic repeatedly complaining of pain. "Pain is a terrible experience. I have experienced sciatica-pain and it was mostly unbearable! I met a guy who told me he had had a constant headache since he was a child. Happily, there are (if not remedies) drugs to ease or extinguish the pain. This tragedy could have been completely avoided if the Doctor had just prescribed strong pain killers! The worst part: the Doctor had front desk clerks hired to keep patients from bothering him! So, maybe he was unaware.
