Optum-Spring Street

I have been going to Spring Street medical since I was a kid seeing Dr. Zamost who I love. It has changed several times and is now Optum but Dr. Z is still there so I am too. But I recently had to see a new doctor while Dr. Zamost was out on vacation and booked two months out. I saw Dr. Gaddam. She is a young doctor and pleasant enough but I felt that she was very dismissive and rushed to get through my visit. I explained to her the reason for my visit and was mostly dismissed by her with her stating that I don't need to be referred to a cardiologist for my symptoms that she said were normal and my blood pressure averaging 142/87 is also normal even though all of the BP charts show it is considered to be Hypertension stage 2. I also expressed my symptoms and pain I'm experiencing with arthritis and asked to be further tested. She stated since I already know I have arthritis nothing further is needed. This comment after I only stated that my Orthopedic doctor saw that I do have osteoarthritis in my joints per my X-rays. No solutions or options were offered by Dr. Gaddam for my chronic arthritis symptoms and she again dismissed any further blood testing for this. I did have a blood panel done but only testing for the usual things thyroid, cholesterol etc and not anything I addressed during my visit. Sadly this was not helpful and I will be seeking another doctor.

I had services provided through Optum on September of 2021, and through a billing error, Optum sent an amount I "owe" to a collection agency. Not only that, the notice was sent to my wife, different last name, different insurance company, and I am STILL dealing with this.

Great customer service and assistance with questions. Prompt with sending prescriptions to my pharmacy. I am impressed with the medical services at Optum and my doctor is professional as well as a wonderful person
