Altamont Cat Hospital is an all-cat clinic where the veterinarian and staff are highly knowledgeable and caring. They observe COVID-19 safety precautions and take the time to explain procedures and answer questions, helping pet owners feel confident in the care their cats receive. Clients appreciate the empathy and great service provided by the team, making this the permanent vet for many.
We’ve been with Altamont Cat for 8 years. We love it that Dr. Mathews and vet tech Laura are always so gentle, caring and empathetic to our kitties. Seeing how they gently talk and pet to make our kitties feel good about the procedures always gave me tears in my eyes. They really take the time to be with their patients. They call to check in on our kitties regularly. They always accommodate us when last minute needs arise. They embodied the utmost high quality vet care.
I feel like I have to give Altamont Cat a five star review after one of our cats’ contrasting experiences at a different clinic that he received specialized care from.

This all-cat clinic vet def knows cats, and it was an educational first visit! They observe Covid safety precautions, which I personally appreciate. I left feeling much better about our cat, a senior we inherited from a recently-deceased relative. We have found our permanent vet!
It took me years to find this vet and team. Lost my first vet and went others that where terrible. My girls mean the world to me, so when I hand my girl off to Laura ( she is great, fantastic and has empathy for the your fur kids ) I know she is in great hands.
