My brother is also a barber, but he lives too far away for me to see regularly. When we moved to the Long Beach/Lakewood area, I started searching for someone local—and my brother told me the mark of a truly excellent barber is consistency: being able to deliver a great haircut every single time. Before I found Lyda, I tried other barbers where the cut would turn out differently from visit to visit (even with the same person), and I was never fully happy with the results. Lyda is the opposite—she’s consistent, detail-oriented, and the results are solid every time.

Honestly, the shop should be called Exceptional Cuts because that’s exactly what she delivers. Lyda consistently goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are happy, comfortable, and confident when they leave. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about her clients.

I always leave feeling great, and seeing her genuinely makes my entire day better. I’m grateful for the attention, care, and pride she puts into her work. I’ve been going to Lyda for over two years now, and I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. My wife also comes to see Lyda and feels the exact same way—she’s the best.
