Life Time La Jolla is a nice gym overall. It’s clean, well maintained, and has good equipment, but out of all the Life Time locations I’ve been to, this one feels the least like a Life Time.
One of the biggest reasons I’m willing to pay a premium for Life Time is that most locations feel like more than just a gym. There’s usually a luxury/resort-type atmosphere and amenities that separate it from a typical fitness club. Unfortunately, the La Jolla location really doesn’t have that feeling. It honestly feels more like a cleaner, nicer version of a 24 Hour Fitness than a true premium Life Time facility.

We have been customers of this location since 2019 and we've experienced price hikes sometimes twice in a year, at this point the membership cost vs benefits are not making sense, specially when you consider that the cleanliness of the place has been going downhill this year, I've taken photos of the same blood stain in the women's bathroom for months at this point, the bathroom are often overflowing with towels and in general understaffed.
Additionally the parking went from being free to now 2h and it's always a nightmare to find parking. Most of the staff is great in general but I've also started to notice some discontent amongst them as well as some micro aggressive… read full review
