“We just finished our bathroom remodel and honestly, it feels like we’re walking into a luxury hotel every time we step inside. The marble, gold accents, and Kohler fixtures are absolutely gorgeous and give the space such an elevated, timeless feel.
Eddie was our foreman and was extremely attentive and pleasant to work with. Same goes for the entire crew who worked so hard, showing up on time Monday through Saturday, and their attention to detail really shows in the finished result. They will never move onto the next step before consulting with me on placement and how I liked it. I was extremely happy that I did not need to micro-manage since I know that I am very particular and attentive to design and details. You can tell they take pride in their work. Every little corner and finish was done so carefully.
Dor (project manager) and Avi (owner) were also AMAZING to work with. From the start, Dor never pressured us into signing any contracts right away, adding things that didn’t make sense, nor did he ever make us feel like we were wasting his time. Prior to getting a quote from Lusso, another company gave a whole spiel about them losing money every time they went out to quote a potential client. Then they said that if they left our house without us signing a contract then we wouldn’t get any discount. Not only did it make us feel really uncomfortable and horrible but their prices were ridiculous compared to Lusso. No matter what time of day it was, Dor & Avi responded right away. They are great communicators and made the whole process smooth and stress-free, always checking in without ever pressuring us into anything. We felt comfortable the entire way through, and that meant so much.
The only regret that I had was not doing this sooner since I’m pregnant in my 3rd trimester. We’re beyond happy that they finished so quick with 2 months to spare before our baby comes so that we can truly enjoy our dual shower. We love how everything turned out and so grateful to the whole team for making our dream bathroom come true. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for quality, honesty, and a truly beautiful result!“

“Better Place revitalized our back yard, turning it into an oasis that visitors have praised and enjoyed. The artificial turf installed in our front and back yard is stunning. The outdoor kitchen is gorgeous and fun. Their communication and follow-up to our questions was impeccable all of the way until the project was completed, and then we didn't hear from them again. They built a cinder block wall enclosure for a jacuzzi we shipped to the home. However, the design did not allow any access to the jacuzzi components. There is a wood deck around the top of the jacuzzi, but no door. I regret not discovering this until after the project was finished and I had signed the paperwork. I turned on the jacuzzi and realized that when it had been installed, something within the components was not working correctly. I sent text messages and e-mails to Better Place, but received no responses. I hired a contractor to build a door so that we (and future owners of our home) can reach the components. But now we have discovered that one of the wooden support beams blocks the door to the components, so it would be impossible to repair or make adjustments to the jacuzzi until I hire another contractor to rework the deck and move the support beam. The project finished in July 2023, but the only part we haven't been able to enjoy is the jacuzzi.

***Update: Better Place contacted me within a day of seeing this review and the owner himself came out to my home to check on the jacuzzi enclosure. Already yesterday the wooden support beam blocking access to the components was removed. Very impressed with the customer service! And we will be able to get our jacuzzi working.“

“My home has 1.5 acres of mature landscaping. I had no comprehensive system for watering, beyond constantly dragging hoses around. Eric Breceda is an expert at irrigation design and installation. I now have over 20 zones each thoughtfully designed for what is in that area, with the right kind of irrigation for that zone. A few zones were designed with future plantings and design in mind. I can now independently program and control them all from anywhere on my cell phone. This was a big job, taking over two weeks of trenching, installation, and programing. This crew was amazing. They arrived on time (early, actually) every single day of the job. (When does that happen?!). No one was leaning on a shovel, but was working every time I looked. Details: We had our backyard completely redone because it was chopped up in small unusable sections and it was just generally a mess. We had three different estimates to do the job and they all came in roughly the same price. So what was the difference? Helena’s vision and communication. She was able to quickly see what our yard could look like and help us see it too.

But while we were impressed with Helena’s creativity, the good vibes didn’t stop there. As the project went on, if there was something we weren’t 100% happy with, Helena was sure to work with us to make it right. The biggest example of this? The pavers that we had purchased ended up coming from two different batches/lots and so when they were installed there was a bit of a color mismatch that wasn’t really visible until after it was all laid out. After a full install of the pavers, we asked Helena about the slight mismatch and she agreed that it could look better. She went to her supplier, fought for us to get new pavers, and reinstalled the pavers all at no cost to us even though most contractors would have argued that it was close enough or thrown their hands up and said sorry, not my fault. She is someone you want in your corner.

As we went through our project, there were a few unexpected hiccups, but nothing major. Each time something would come up though, Helena would suggest multiple solutions, and if we chose a solution that would add some additional cost due to increased labor and materials from what we originally planned, we always felt that Helena was fair and reasonable with her price adjustment. Best of all, it was easy to talk to her if at any point we weren’t satisfied with something or how things were going.

It’s been about six months since our yard was finished and we are so pleased with how it all turned out. Plan to upload before and after pictures later, but don’t currently have them. The transformation was amazing though and me and my family have loved actually using our yard to its fullest potential!“
