About UCI Student Health Center
The UCI Student Health Center offers a range of services for students. Some reviewers have found the service to be average, with repetitive questioning during appointments and a lack of time for proper treatment. However, others have had a more positive experience, appreciating the fast and easy appointment process, and the center's convenient services such as blood work and medication prescription with follow-up calls. The staff, including the pharmacist and phlebotomist Shahrzad, are often praised for their kindness, patience, and dedication to patient care.
I attended the UCI Student Health Center and their dental facility all three years of my time at UCI, through UCSHIP. My freshman year, I ran into an issue with insurance billing as I wasn't aware we needed a referral from UCSHIP directly to see a specialist (I went to EXER at UTC and was referred from there). That experience was probably the most troubling I had, as I did have to pay out of pocket despite filing for a retroactive referral. I really do not understand what the bad reviews are about. I love my current primary care doctor (does an amazing job), decided to come here as I have UCSHIP through UCI. Literally one of the best experiences I've had regarding healthcare. Dr. Brandon Grove and his staff are amazing! During my check-in, triage, and health service, I felt welcome, heard, understood, acknowledged, and cared for. Major appreciation for Francesca, Jessie, Claudia, Tina, Abraham, and Dr. Grove! The only regret I have is not coming sooner. Thank you UCI Student Health Center!!
Shoutout and major appreciation for Denise and Tina for their amazing patient care, as well!

Very average service. They know that the students will end up going there for saving time from commuting other places. During my chiropractic appointments 60% -90% time was killed by their same set of questions again and again, and this happened multiple times. after 25 min of Q&A they shamelessly say- as we don't have much time now, I'll show you how to exercise and self-treat yourself in 2 min!! --- What a nice treatment!!
