Atomic Ballroom is a vibrant dance venue known for hosting one of the best weekly West Coast Swing socials in the world. Every Thursday, the dance floor is filled with dancers of all levels, including Champions, All Stars, and Advanced competitors, making it an ideal place to social dance and enhance skills. The instructors, including Ben Morris and guest teachers, provide excellent guidance, while the social DJs, who are accomplished dancers themselves, curate an impressive playlist.

The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, especially for beginners, with many opportunities for learning various dance styles, including salsa and classic swing styles like lindy hop and balboa. However, the Monday West Coast Swing class can become overly crowded in a smaller room, and suggestions have been made to move it to the larger ballroom to improve the experience.

Recent improvements to air conditioning have enhanced comfort, although some fans are not consistently utilized. Overall, Atomic Ballroom is highly recommended for its friendly community, knowledgeable instructors, and fantastic social events. Atomic Ballroom is home to one of the best weekly West Coast Swing socials in the world. Every Thursday, the dance floor is packed with dancers of every level, and Champions, All Stars, and Advanced competitors regularly frequent the venue. It's a great place to social dance and improve your skills. If you dance West Coast Swing and are visiting Southern California, it's definitely worth stopping by.
Ben Morris and the guest instructors who fill in for him are excellent. The social DJs are high level dancers themselves, so they understand what makes a great West Coast Swing playlist.

We have enjoyed taking salsa classes here wirh Evan. He is a very talented instructor with the perfect personality for below beginners students. He has been super nice to my husband, who is only learning salsa dancing, cause I'm latina, and I love it.

I have danced here only a handful of times so far, but the teachers and atmosphere are brilliantly welcoming and positive. They were hugely supportive of beginners but also invite you to challenge yourself a bit where you can. Today, Natalie at the front desk was tremendously helpful and patient, taking the time to address my concerns of an issue on my account and ensuring things were sorted and compensated for. Making me feel very heard and safe. Highly recommend coming here for lessons and welcoming community of groovy people all looking to learn!
