Avoid this place if you don't want infections! Stay as far away from this place as you can. I used to come here two times a month for years. They almost always cut my skin making me bleed. The quality of the nails is not any better as they are almost always thick and lumpy. The reason I stopped coming is because I got multiple toe infections from this place. Most recently I got a regular polish and got a toe infection. I had to soak it with Epsom salt causing my pedicure to chip. I told the owner and she did not care so a WEEK after my fresh pedicure I went in to get a gel one. I ended up getting another toe infection but this time on FOUR toes. I had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics. The owner Tina did not care about this so I started going to a new nail salon and I have yet to be cut there or get any infections. Most importantly, I noticed that at this new location, they sterilize the tools before using them which I have never seen at Surf City Nails 2. I am assuming I got infections from their lack of hygienic practices. I have also heard RACIST remarks coming from workers here. I had a nail tech tell me that they treat white people better because they "complain more". Everyone should be treated the same regardless of their skin tone.

I love this place! I love getting my nails done here. They are super friendly and try their best to have you in and out. My nails have always looked great after leaving every time. My nails typically last my a couple of weeks to a month.

I have to share a wonderful experience I had today at this nail salon. The service is so amazing and you make friends with the customers . I feel so relaxed with the service and know they are found a great job. I will be back in 2 weeks

Tina and her crew are awesome! I've been coming here for years , now even traveling from our home in AZ to get high quality manicure and pedicure. It's worth the 5 hour drive!

I love Tina. She's so good at what she does that she's not available unless you make an appt in advance. I'm ok with that though because Lisa does a good and fast acrylic fill as well (she doesn't have the best attitude but I usually just call Tina over to tell her what I want ). I saw someone say something about Tina's sisters - yes, Tina has two sisters that work there and they are also great. I have been coming here for years. You just can't get offended when they can't get you in or you have to wait. They're really reasonably priced which is another reason they're so busy. They don't kiss butts because they're not fake and they don't need to, so if you're looking for a place that tells you you're right even when you're wrong then don't come here.

I booked with Tina three times and every time she passed me to someone else who claimed was her sister which was not doing a good job at all. Despite telling her that I was not happy, still she sent me to her again. Favoritism by Tina!
