I have an adult son with special needs who wanted to take violin lessons. He lost interest in playing his keyboard. Trying to find a violin teacher who works with people with special needs is not that simple. I am glad we found Lenny. Lenny is always calm and patient. He engages my son during his lesson. My son really enjoys and looks forward to his weekly lesson. He thinks that Lenny is like Bert (Mary Poppins) since he plays all these musical instruments.
Lenny, the owner, taught my daughter how to play violin for six and a half years from age 7. She had no experience and now plays for her middle school orchestra in the concert master position. Lenny is wonderful with kids. Very patient and gentle even when they get frustrated, as happens when learning a tricky new thing. Lenny is also extremely flexible with lesson times, which made my life so much easier. He also taught my son piano. It was such a pleasure to watch their lessons. Forever grateful. Highly recommended.
Started taking cello lessons with Lenny in 2020 as I wanted to play again after 20+ years. We started with online lessons and transitioned to in person. He is one of the best music teachers I've had! As an adult student with no real deadlines for concerts, we go through the music books at a good pace that works for me and play other fun pieces. We alternate playing when we are learning concepts and techniques, and play the fun pieces together as a mini ensemble. He is very flexible with scheduling and pricing can't be beat! 100% recommend!
