I came here to visit my aunts gravesite, but needed help with locating it, because I was not able to attend the initial burial. From the time I entered the building, the staff were remarkable! They were so kind and helpful. Definitely left a lasting impression!

Lakewood Memorial Park is NEGLIGENT and managed by an IRRESPONSIBLE man named REGGIE TAYLOR. On Saturday 7//18/26 my Son who is visiting from Austin Texas, my brother, and I visited the cemetery. My parents who are both buried one row over from my husband, Živko M. Jurkovic are still located where we buried them. Three of us were UNABLE TO LOCATE ŽIVKO’S GRAVE. The logical thing to do was to contact both Lakewood Memorial Park and Mortuary. I personally spoke with two ladies and two gentlemen. REGGIE TAYLOR left a message stated both Živko and my names. Not sure why that happened because I SPELLED out both first names and our last name. NEGLIGENCE AND IRRESPONSIBILITY appear their way of MAKING MONEY and NOT SHOWING CONCERN for SURVIVORS of the DECEASED. SHAME ON REGGIE TAYLOR, SHAME SHAME!!!

Extremely disappointing experience during what should have been a meaningful Father’s Day visit to my son’s resting place.
My family has been visiting for the past 9 years and have always used a small pop-up tent for shade due to the heat, with no issues ever raised. This visit, we were approached by two armed security guards and told we were no longer allowed to use a pop-up tent and had to take it down immediately.
We were told this was a new policy being enforced by management and that it was posted at the entrance. However, after reviewing the posted rules myself, there was nothing stated about pop-up tents. When I asked security to show me where this was written, neither guard could provide any documentation or policy reference.
The experience was especially upsetting given the circumstances—high heat, families trying to spend time with loved ones, and multiple families being forced to take down their tents. My wife and young granddaughter were extremely uncomfortable and distressed without shade in the sun.
What made this even more frustrating is the lack of communication and clarity. After nearly a decade of visits without incident, suddenly enforcing an unwritten rule on a holiday weekend felt unnecessary and disrespectful to grieving families.
I am requesting clearer communication and transparency from management regarding any policy changes that directly affect visiting families. Families deserve consistency, clarity, and respect when visiting loved ones.

This place has lost all respect of the people that has laid to rest there.. there are completely disgusting and have absolutely no dignity!! Over the years we have had things taken from my son’s gravesite. Last year on Christmas Eve.. my son’s Xmas tree was taken because we put it up too soon. Pulling up on Xmas day and no tree and very memorable ornaments from his daughter and friends taken!!! Yesterday 6/21 Father’s Day! Lakewood had the nerve to have security cops! Go around and tell people they could no longer have Canopies up. Mind you it was 90degrees. There are families all over visiting and paying their respects. We had my sons grandparents in there 80’s and his daughter who is 10. What kind of place does that!!! You should be sued and have a class action law suit against you.. we are looking into it. Disgusting
