Excellence itself. I've seen him for about 3 years and his attention to detail, willingness to help, his care is remarkable. You have to be an active participant in your care but if you are he goes the extra mile and his ability to diagnose and treat are superb. If you listen and ask questions and participate in your care he can help you become healthier than you have ever been. Wonderful doctor can't say enough. Also the cleanest facility I have ever been in. Extremely satisfied in my care.
I don't even want to give him the one star. I was with Inland Health, now Dignity Health Group for many MANY years. After Dr. Paul left and Dr. Vargas took over I left too. Never have I ever experienced such rude, arrogance, not to mention he is NOT a people person! He wouldn't listen to my concerns, I mention something is wrong and he tells me, "oh...very good very good"! He obviously doesn't listen! Because of my test results and blood work and a family history of cancer, I requested further study and he said he wanted to wait 6 months and go from there. And what!!! An what if!?! In 6 mos IF something is there then be a statistic and he tell me, oh if only we caught it sooner!?! I have changed doctors and I am going to report him to the medical board.
I had a very mixed experience with this doctor. He was assigned as my PCP by dignity because of a required insurance change. I've been in severe pain since September of 2017. The initial insurance and pcp totally dropped the ball soo I thought I would get better results than I had previously. Not the case. Other than getting meds refilled faster not soo. The pain has not gotten better and I had requested a specialist who in turn addressed the secondary issue and informed me I needed to see anither specialist for my back witch is the primary issue. 2 months after that consult they still have not scheduled or contacted me remember: my MRI. I was told he would sight my temp disability form witch he refused to sign after I dropped it off telling me I need to get my previous pcp to do it. I don't know why he changed his mind fyi. And now I received a letter informing me he moved to another office. I at least expected him to address the time I had been under his care and if it was an issue with the paperwork at least tell me why.
