“I initially hired Method Remodeling to remodel my guest bathroom. This was my first experience with a home remodeling project and I didn't know much about the process. After interviewing local contractors across a wide cost range, I ultimately went with a general contractor, Method Remodeling, that was mid-range in terms of cost. With the lower quotes, I found that I would essentially be assuming many of the responsibilities and tasks that a good general contractor would typically manage for me. With the higher cost quotes, I found that they were not offering anything more than what Method would provide. Method Remodeling's owner, Doron, went above and beyond to work with me to translate what I wanted into a documented project plan with measurable milestones and requirements. He kept the project on track to successful completion, managing all aspects of the project that a really good general contractor takes care of on your behalf: getting permits, scheduling and managing the various professionals/subcontractors (plumber, electrician, painter, etc.) including a designer that can help you select all of the materials you need and document your specifications in a functional installation design (cabinet height, shower head height, lighting placement, mirror placement, etc.) for the team to work from. Most importantly, Doron was extremely responsive, acting as point of contact and troubleshooting any issues that came up to their resolution. I was so happy with how the guest bathroom turned out that I subsequently hired Method to remodel my half bath and primary (master) bathroom. The end results are exactly what I wanted but much better than what I had originally envisioned. What I found through this experience is that you need a general contractor like Doron with knowledge and integrity that you can trust and rely on to do the right thing. As mentioned in other reviews, he has a very positive attitude and brings that energy to the project. He was extremely invested in the outcome of my projects and I ended up with three beautiful bathrooms that are nothing short of total transformation in terms of aesthetic and function. the crawl space.
Jay found a way to bolt my house to the foundation where other contractors could not.
Jay did more for me than just Earthquake Bolt. He identified problems with pipe leakage and
worn out and falling down insulation problems that I was not aware of.
He scheduled his time to allow for the plumber to do repairs and insulation to be replaced.

1. A+ opinions. He would actively push back when he thought one of my ideas was bad. Sometimes that meant more work for him, sometimes that meant less. But he would only push back when it was truly not a good idea, structurally or procedurally.

2. A+ attention to detail - he and his team have excellent attention to detail. In the past, in any major work I've had done, I had to do most of the hard thinking. But with Ryan, he came up with many of the good creative solutions to technical problems that inevitably arise. This reduced a lot of mental load I would have had to bear in prior jobs.

3. A+ involvement. He is not a hands off general contractor. Many pieces of the work that his team did, he was working right along with them.

4. A+ Honesty - he is not the least expensive option, but also not the most expensive. But most importantly, he is absolutely transparent. He stays very close to his original bid. Most of the changes in my bid was because if changes I requested.

5. B+ vendor quality. The only feedback I would give him is - if he has any control on the matter, to get better vendors. Ditch the appliance guy in Millbrae and the original flooring company. On the other had, we had great experiences with the countertop company, the fixtures company, and his subcontractors were all excellent - plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc.

I would hire him again for projects. Now that all the work is done, I kinda miss my banter with him.“

“This review is for the quote from Pete (owner) - he came over and quickly told me that my house was in good shape and that I the cement fiberboard siding wasn't necessary. I really appreciate his honesty, and efficiency. He even recommended a painter! If I ever needed siding I would most definitely call him for a bid, as he seemed knowledgeable and upstanding. “We found Bath Planet Norcal through Home Depot and ordered a bathtub/shower and wall surround for our rental unit. Alysia came to see our unit and was very helpful in providing us with information, options, and different designs. She showed a new tile color that we immediately responded to even though we were told it would take about 4-6 weeks to receive. We were willing to wait and, unfortunately, we learned 2-3 mos later that it was still not available. As a result, we had to choose basic white to speed up the process since our project was already delayed and needed to change our contractors' schedules at the last minute. Darwin, the project manager, was most helpful in speeding up the order and was most attentive to our needs throughout this project and was a great communicator. He responded to our emails, text, and questions efficiently and took care of any issue or concern we addressed. He was always reassuring and followed through on his promises. When permits were ordered and inspectors were scheduled anytime during a 3-4 hour period, he was always on time, willing to wait as long as necessary, and gave us their positive feedback when all done.
