Not one piece of the work was performed professionally or correctly. Everything had to be redone. Boards were cut too short, the shoring up of one part of the deck was done by stacking loose pieces of wood in a make-shift support, nails were left jutting out on the top of the deck, and a gate was nailed into place with inadequately small nails. It slid off the nails within two days. When I reported this to Bernie, he asked me what we should do. It was my understanding that he was the handyman, not me. I expected him to have the solutions.

I found Hollywood Home Improvement on Angie's List so thought I would be hiring professionals. Boy! Was I wrong. I'm so surprised to see a five star rating for Bernie and his workers because I paid entirely too much for a less than sub par job of painting the exterior of my home. On top of that, I was lied to. Now, barely a year later, paint is peeling and flaking very badly, worse than even before they painted. See photo. Bernie told me that dry rotted wood would be replaced with new wood.
