It’s so sad how this hospital treats there patients and don’t care for the little ones in need of surgery cancellation at last minute that’s horrible and makes me angry how terrible the medical system is . Plus rude nurses they canceled my daughter’s appointment 2 times !!! 1st time I was parked literally 30minutes before her appointment they called me saying the “doctor called in sick” don’t believe it one bit !!! 2nd time I was half way there same exact excuse the doctor is sick !!!! 😒 we just really want to get this done and over with !! So we don’t have to come back to this awful place that don’t care for the patients needs 😢😢

Has anyone’s daughter had a labial fusion? My daughter and I went to valley children’s for a CONSULTATION. The doctor walked in put her gloves on and grabbed 2 cotton swabs and asked no further questions or explanations on how this EXAMINATION takes place. I obviously gave consent for her to EXAMINE my daughter. The doctor examined the area but was so rough she teared open the labial fusions. I had no idea she was tearing it open. I had no idea I was going to walk out of that CONSULTATION with the problem resolved per say. I was holding my daughter’s legs and since she was in pain she kept moving and the doctor got upset and said “please hold her right now I am telling you.” The doctor then said “I know it’s hard to hold your own child down” so she took over and held her down hard. I was extremely upset and told he to stop the examination since my daughter was in distress. When I check my daughter I saw she had opened the labial fusions. At any point did the doctor communicate with me that this could have been an invasive EXAMINATION. She stopped and apologized for her lack of miscommunication. I am upset because I held my daughter down while the doctor tore her open without ANY NUMBING CREAM ANY CONSENT OR EXPLANATION. The doctor said that she did very minimal pressure and that I could’ve opened my daughter’s labial fusions by wiping her during diaper changes. The doctor had no right to take matters into her own hands and just tear open my daughter without explaining to me the possible outcomes of the EXAMINATION. My autistic son has been waiting years for his tonsillectomy and adnoidectomy surgery. He was supposed to be scheduled for June 3rd but they called me yesterday to cancel it due to not having enough staff they said. I called them back yesterday and all they suggested I do is call his primary dr and be referred somewhere else so my son will have to start this whole process all over again. My son has severe sleep apnea and nose bleeds since breaking his nose at school years ago and valley children’s doesn’t seem to care. They had a long time to be prepared for this 2 years to be exact and for them to cancel one less than one month before surgery is ridiculous. They told me if he gets worse to go to the ER. He’s been there multiple times and all they do is send him home. I will never take my son here again. Also I’m filing a complaint today.
