Mountain View Cemetery is a large cemetery with many graves. Some visitors report feeling unsafe due to the presence of homeless individuals who may engage in inappropriate behavior. Concerns have been raised about personal safety, particularly for women visiting alone. However, other visitors praise the cemetery's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, finding it a suitable place to honor loved ones.
The grounds often look their age, although I believe the staff do what they can with what they have to work with. I agree with another reviewer about theft, although this has been an issue at times for many years. Even more pathetic is that a well-known activity frequenting the Belmont/99 area is allowed to make its way to the back part of the cemetery with the evidence cast about near gravesites.
I have dealt with Mountain View for years as I have several family
members buried here and I have always been treated with respect and they have even went to a plot to see if a headstone had been setup for a deceased family member because the original monument business was sold and didn't contact people you prepaid and they confirmed I had no headstone set so that I can continue with my funeral plans. I really appreciate them for giving all the necessary information because I live out of state.
My mother died two years ago in June Maria capuchin smith was the one who attended me and my family. We had a great experience with her she treated us very well and comforted us in our difficult time. I would like to thank her for everything she did for us. Our beautiful mother is resting in peace in a loving environment. Thank you Maria thank you for everything you are appreciated.
