After waiting over a month for my first mammogram, I missed my early morning appointment due to illness and being disoriented. When I called later that same day to explain and reschedule, I was told I was no longer allowed to be a patient because it was my first visit. I was willing to pay the cancellation fee and did not need an urgent appointment, but I was still turned away with no consideration given to my situation. For a women’s health provider, the complete lack of compassion and patient care was alarming and disappointing.

This is a lawsuit waiting to happen I will be making this public as possible with this office as they are unprofessional and do not communicate at all they have medically neglected me and dismiss me over their mistakes as I have everything documented and on file in case I have to go this route as I have been waiting for a call back once the office manager realized the dates were not adding up as I explained she was suppose to talk to office staff and call me back never did she and now here we are once again they can like my post but not say anything as they know they are in the wrong and I’ll be there this Monday to speak to them directly and you can tell on the second picture I have not missed one appointment

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the management and operations of CVWHA. While this message is lengthy, I believe the details are important to fully illustrate the extent of the concerns.
First, I want to acknowledge that my comments are not directed toward Dr. Mason, Carlye Ward, or Brittney Ong, who have each demonstrated professionalism, skill, and compassion in their roles. Despite Dr. Mason’s absence during my labor, delivery, and hospital stay, my prior experiences with him were positive, and I was eager to continue under his care for fertility treatments and future prenatal care.
I initially transferred my prenatal care to Dr. Mason upon a strong recommendation from our fertility center. Although the wait to get in was lengthy and I was already three months pregnant at the time, my early visits were positive. The staff was kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Unfortunately, as my pregnancy progressed, I observed significant changes in the front office staff and processes. These changes directly impacted my care and ultimately led to my dismissal as a patient.
Scheduling & Documentation Issues
The scheduling practices at CVWHA were, in many cases, illogical and uncoordinated. For example, on multiple occasions, I was booked for back-to-back appointments at separate facilities with overlapping times—making it physically impossible to attend them all. Despite this, the office documented me as a “no-show” for several appointments, including dates when I was physically present or even hospitalized following the birth of my daughter.
It is particularly concerning that while I missed only two appointments due to legitimate scheduling conflicts, CVWHA’s records reflect seven “missed” visits. Some of these were marked as no-shows when I was, in fact, checked in at the office or admitted to the hospital. This indicates serious deficiencies in recordkeeping and patient communication.
Late Arrivals & Inconsistent Policies
On one occasion, I was eight minutes late due to traffic on my one-hour commute from Visalia. I attempted to call in advance, but the office was unavailable as it was before 8:00 AM. Upon arrival, I waited while the receptionist assisted others, only to be turned away. Not only was I denied my appointment, but I was also inaccurately recorded as a no-show.
Conversely, I once arrived on time and waited 25 minutes, only to be told I had been scheduled incorrectly with a nurse practitioner instead of Dr. Mason. I was informed my appointment would have to be rescheduled months later—despite my being eight months pregnant—and was again marked as a no-show.
When I raised these issues with Dr. Mason, he expressed concern, noting that “our office should not function like that” and encouraged me to speak with the office manager, Christi Rollff. At that time, I declined, as I wanted to avoid unnecessary conflict and believed the matter could be resolved without escalation.
Termination as a Patient
On July 15, I received a termination letter from Ms. Rollff after attempting to schedule another appointment. The following day, I spoke with her for approximately 20 minutes, explaining the full situation and requesting she reevaluate her decision. During that conversation, she repeatedly stated that I “needed to be mindful” of the physicians’ and office’s time. Ironically, this same consideration was not extended to me as a patient—my time, needs, and circumstances were repeatedly disregarded.
Ms. Rollff assured me I would receive a call from the scheduler to set an appointment. That call never came. Despite my following up six times, I was told by the appointment coordinator that Ms. Rollff had not changed her decision. She was fully aware I was seeking care for infertility and a positive pregnancy test, yet she provided misleading assurances before ultimately refusing to reinstate me as a patient.
Final Remarks
This experience has been deeply disheartening. CVWHA’s administrative practices and lack of professional accountability have directly compromised patient care, eroded t

I originally posted a review that I am editing. I'll feel better just saying impossible phone system. If you read these reviews and think they are valid, you may conclude by considering another provider.

Don't expect these people to do anything except waste your time. Can't talk to anybody on the phone, expect you to know their policies before getting there. Expect you to wait for months to get care. This place is a joke.

Apparently, there is a STRICT no late policy. I was 5 minutes late trying to find parking as it is a bitch. Don't be fooled and think there is always parking if you happen to find a spot. Chaulk it up as a lucky day Buy a lotto ticket.. Brittany NP is amazing, but I can't tell you about any of the care providers. The office staff mid. I just had a miscarriage so I might be a little emotional and well, just not feeling good at all. So take this review as just something to know so you aren't surprised.

The systems at the doctor's office are very outdated. It's disappointing that in this century, they still cannot use an online system and can not resort to sending documents via email, which they struggle to manage efficiently. New patient registration is extremely difficult. I had to wait six months for this appointment, and now I am waiting an additional month because they failed to send the necessary documentation and information. My new appointment will be a phone consultation instead of an in-person, which is unfortunate. This is very disappointed.

Dr Mason himself is an amazing dr based off the 1 time I got to meet him. however the office staff is horrible...... I can never get someone to answer the phone. If i didnt live up in the foothills i feel it would be easier to walk into the office to make them answer what questions I may have or to make an appointment.
