“Having had chronic back pain most of my life, there have been a couple of times where the pain has been fairly unbearable. The first was about 25 years ago and ended with a cortisone shot. This last time, I wrenched my back and had this throbbing pain in my hip, my lower back, and running down my leg. I could not make it up the stairs and slept in my recliner for about 3 weeks. My sister gave me Dr. Currie's name as her husband has had sciatica most of his life and benefited greatly by this doctor. I have been to a couple of chiropractors and have not been impressed, so it seemed a bit like a last ditch effort for relief that made me go.<br>The first visit confirmed inflammation in the L5 disc (he got me in a few days after reaching out). This was on a Monday. On Wednesday I was able to get really good x-rays (yes, there is a difference) and was back to see him with that cd (which I got to keep) on Thursday. He really took the time to show me the good and bad (I had good spacing between the vertebrae and you could see the areas of muscle inflammation, along with some areas of arthritis) and asked me to come the very next day. On Friday I had my first adjustment and this took the edge off, for which I was grateful. I was already walking better on Saturday, much to my surprise.<br>Monday was my second adjustment, but it was very apparent that the swelling (and the pain) had been reduced dramatically. I am going back on Wednesday and Friday for additional adjustments and hope to be on more of a maintenance schedule after that.<br>The treatment was better than anything my doctor prescribed or did for the past year and a half as this was building up. I am so grateful for the professional care and treatment that Dr. Currie provided.<br>I would highly recommend him to anyone experiencing back pain.”
