About Pharmacy l Kaiser Permanente Folsom Medical Offices

Pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente Folsom Medical Offices is located in a clean, new building with a convenient layout. It offers easy access and ample parking. The pharmacy is situated near the entrance, with restrooms and an elevator across from each other, and the lab on the bottom floor. Other departments like Women's Health are on the second floor. Customers generally praise the helpful and pleasant staff, especially the pharmacist and counter personnel. The facility is well-designed, making it easy to navigate. However, some customers have had negative experiences, such as long wait times and issues with prescription management. One person shared frustration over waiting an hour and twenty minutes, only to find out their prescription was canceled without notice. They had to go through the process again, only to be told they couldn't use coupons and that the cost of the brand-name medication was very high. Such experiences highlight some problems with communication and organization. Despite these issues, the pharmacy has received positive reviews for its location, helpful staff, and efficient layout. Recently, the staff reached out to improve customer service, leading to better ratings from some customers. Overall, the pharmacy provides convenience and helpful service, but some customers note concerns about wait times and communication.

I've mostly been with Kaiser for the last 25 years, with the exception of a few years when we had a PPO health plan. The positives with Kaiser have always outweighed the negatives. But I will say that in the past few years since my doctor retired, it's been very difficult to find a good provider in Adult Medicine. I chose a provider in Folsom because she seemed to be a good fit, on paper. My recent phone appointment with her proved that my instincts were incorrect, sadly. She seemed dismissive and in the patient notes, got part of our conversation incorrect. I messaged her following an email sent with multiple ALL CAPS phrases (who decided on this approach), informing me I'd failed to complete an at home test. I let her know there had been an error following our phone appointment. Not only had I still not received the at home test she messaged about (to date, I still do not have it), she failed to call in an order for the monthly injection I need for a chronic condition. There were no apologies made. She told me that I "sound annoyed" and to please be respectful and professional in my communication (I have never been anything but). She ended the message telling me to find a new provider. I was absolutely shocked. Apparently, I'm looking for a new doctor. I will reach out to Member Services for some direction. Hopefully they can help. I don't want to name drop in this review, but I pray nobody has the misfortune of dealing with this provider.

Wow! Don't understand all the negative reviews... I've lived around the area for over 40 years and since it's been up and running I have never had a bad experience here. From all different departments... Love this location and building. Clean, new and well thought out design. Pharmacy is right when you walk in, restrooms and elevator across from each other, lab all on bottom floor. Women's Health and other on 2nd floor. Staff is great and helpful. Plenty of parking. The only thing missing, that I don't understand why they didn't do, was put in an ER department. El Dorado Hills sure would've required it alone, instead of having to travel up to Placerville, or Roseville. Sure hope they build one soon...it is really needed there.
