although I arrived 30 minutes early, I was called by the wrong name and told that I was 15 minutes late! When I was told to leave and return a different day, because it was a 30-mile drive, I insisted that I knew my appointment had been scheduled for the later time because I never would've agreed to the earlier time knowing that I couldn't have made it after work, and they agreed to treat me at the time I was there. The acupuncturist had a good bedside manner and questioned me at length regarding my problem and then gave me the treatment, leaving me with needles in for about 30 minutes listening to some not-so-great music. When I was done I was asked to make another appointment and was surprised. It turns out that the treatment, to be effective, takes daily appointments, which no one told me ahead of time! At $80. each, there was no way I could afford this, especially since I was told there was no way of knowing how many total appointments it would take. I feel duped. The staff and acupuncturist knew that I didn't have much money because I asked them whether they take Medi-Cal (they don't), indicating that I am low-income.

My daughter has had pain in her shoulder for a long time. We had x-rays and MRIs done, but nothing showed up on those. She had physical therapy, which was good, but there wasn't a noticeable improvement. She also saw another acupuncturist which didn't help much. Redwood Coast Acupuncture is the first facility that has helped her pain go away. She will be doing several treatments, but after the first one there was a noticeable difference. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and it is a pleasure to be there.
