Scripps Clinic Encinitas - 326 Santa Fe

I requested blood tests from my OB/Gyn and walked across the hall to the lab. All the seats were taken, and people with appointments were standing, waiting. I was told it was a two hour wait. I asked why. I was told "it is personal". I, then, asked if there was less of a wait at another Scripps lab in San Diego. I was told that for the next two weeks there would be long waits at ALL the Scripps labs. I, again, asked why and was told that people had to return to be retested. Apparently, someone screwed up.

My OB/GYN moved to this spot and I'm so glad she did. I hesitated to write a review about my doctor as it's hard enough to get an appointment but, seeing as how difficult it can be to find a great OB/GYN I felt selfish in not referring another woman to my doctor. I've seen almost a dozen since I moved to San Diego 13 years ago and none of them have come close to the care I've received from Dr. DuHamel. I've had some serious female issues since my 20's so, I'm somewhat of an expert when it comes to OB's and she is simply the best. This Scripps facility is in a new building ... which is hard to find ... well behind the Scripps Hospital and MRI building. Laboratory is on the 2nd floor ... make a right out of the elevator. Check-in and waiting area is small. The staff is very pleasant and considerate. My lab technician was great. Everything is new, modern and bright. I five minutes late for my appointment, but I was in-and-out in under 15 minutes.
