being right next door to a cute little boutique, i walked into this place totally not knowing that i would be doing a full hair transformation! boy did i need April's hair styling, advice, and hair color/care! both of these colors were done at the W Salon.. after a not great experience at another salon, April totally took me in and was honest and open from day one. i'm so happy i found her! unlike a lot of other hair dressers in the San Diego area, she cares way more about taking care of your hair, and what it will be like in the long run, than just right now/when you walk out of the salon, which is so important! hair is such a statement on your body, and for that you need to take care of it! i was quoted $250, for my current red/auburn hair i did today. and uhhh, AMAZING! and for that price?!! yes please! overall the salon is so cute and trendy, in fact as she was shampooing my hair, we were taking about how CUTE the hanging lights are, and how the whole vibe is so calming and beautiful. i'm so grateful i was able to find an amazing hairdresser in the SoCal area, for half of the regular pricing around the areas. thank you April!

I finally managed to stop by & check out this cute salon & set an appointment. Just had a fabulous mani & pedi service done by Laurie. So glad I stopped. Definitely returning to see Laurie for some much needed nail loving.

I had my hair done here by Rachelle today and it turned out just how I wanted! I have been going to Rachelle for a long time now and she exceeds my expectations each time I leave her chair. I would recommend her to anyone!

I recommend the massage therapist, Heather Gilmore.She knows just what you need. She is professional and provides a calm, relaxing, therapeutic experience.

Horrible! I made my appointment and sent pictures to the hairdresser prior to going in on what color I would like. I wanted a burgundy color and let the hairdresser know I have naturally brown hair. She asked if I wanted to bleach my hair to get it to the lighter shade of burgundy I was asking for. I said no and that I knew the color would be darker and I was ok with that. When I showed up she ended up dying my hair red. I was asked if I like it and since I couldn't tell in the salon how red it was I said it was fine. When I got home and really examined it it was not burgundy at all, just a very bright red. Over the next few days and only one wash the color really faded. My roots where a hot red and my ends looked blond (again after I said no bleach! It was horrible! When I reached out to the salon they said they couldn't do anything because the hairdressers where not employees of the salon. When I reached out to the hairdresser she said she would not refund my money and I could only have it brought back to the red color she had originally done (not the burgundy color I had requested). My hair is now over processed and my once bouncy curls are frizzy and damaged. It was the WORST salon and hairdresser experience I have had ever had. I used to say "hair is hair, it will grow back" but never again after going to W Salon and MedSpa.

The W is a beautiful salon inside but the hair dressers renting their booths there are sloppy. You'd think that a hairdresser would have nice hair and actually look presentable being that their pretty much selling theirselves and their work. When I used to go to this salon I noticed that whenever there was a walk in, no one would ever acknowledge them except my hair dresser. Everyone else would keep brushing their own hair or be talking to other stylist who also didn't have clients. Even if the client belonged to another hairdresser the hairdresser wouldn't even acknowledge their own client. I saw this happen many times over the yr and a half I was being seen there. Seemed like it was never very busy when I did go there. There would only be about 2 other hair dressers there besides my lady. Its a wonder the salon is even open considering no one ever seemed to be working. I noticed several times cruising around (from sink to chair or to the dryer) while no other hair dresserss were there, that their stations were dirty and nasty with dust, disgusting old barbicide containers and I bet their brushes and combs were filled with hair too (but thats just a speculation) Unless you already have a hairdresser working here who will take care of you.... I'd go somewhere else to get the service you deserve.
