Long story for the readers:
I originally had my pixie cut at a different salon in Ktown and while I loved the initial style, I went back with the hopes of growing out because I became pregnant and wanted something low maintenance, and my hair grows way too fast and thick to maintain the fresh pixie vibes. I don’t think the stylist had any clue on how to work with my hair texture, or visualize what the grow out journey would look like. My discomfort was confirmed when at the end of cutting my hair on the second visit, he just said that because my hair was curly, it would just have to look frizzy unless I styled it heavily for the next several months, and after I delivered my baby, I could do a chemical treatment to “relax” my hair till it was long enough again. ? Dealing with the changes of pregnancy while having unkempt hair rapidly growing in every random direction was a total fatality to my self esteem. I just avoided mirrors and couldn’t even bother with trying to be cute ?☠️
Fast forward to my next reshaping opportunity, when I booked with MJ! I looked extensively at IGs to find a stylist that knew what she was doing with short textured hair. I believe Feverfew is great for low-maintenance creative styles for textured hair to begin with, but MJs work was simply calling out to my soul even after a week of sleeping on it before making the decision - and it sure was an amazing decision ?
Every snip she made was careful, strategic and precise.
For me the part that REALLY won me over though was near the end, when MJ asked me to run my hands through my hair and see if I liked the feel of it. And I did “like” it because it was much better than how it started. But then she said to me “No, don’t be shy. REALLY get in there, and tell me how it feels - it’s your head”. I was suddenly reassured to speak up, knowing this artist truly cared about what I had to say without taking offense. And the only request I had was the best one you could ever imagine giving a stylist: “take off more”. So she went back in and then… I did it again. “Take off even more”. And then I did that again. ?
Honestly I lost count of how many times I had her cutting away more. I’ve always had super thick hair, but these pregnancy hormones were no joke, I felt like I had the densest carpet growing out of my scalp ? by the end of my multiple requests, I was shocked with amazement by her patience and persistence, and the kindness that was required to still not rush me at that point or make any drastic moves.
When my husband picked me up from my appointment, he was stunned at how well MJ did, and when I told him how many times I had to keep telling MJ to take off more, he commented how good she must be, because we all want the stylist who errs on the side of taking off a little at a time rather than taking off too much.
Delivering a pixie reshape to textured hair that doesn’t require any styling, and planning/visualizing its grow out to require minimal trims for upkeep is indeed quite the mission, and showcases MJs high level of skill as well as empathy towards the fatigue that comes from growing another human inside of me. I’m always so touched when I meet incredible people that are so generous with their efforts ❤️
P.s. it’s been two weeks since my haircut, I simply brush it when it’s wet and it air dries perfectly, and I’ve started to look in the mirror again - enough to strike on some eyeliner each day and reclaim this season as my becoming of a hot glowing mama ?

if you are very hungry this place is perfect for you. here are large pieces of pie from different meats and cheese. You can eat for $15. it's all fast. because there are expensive restaurants on the first line, and a long service
Late in the day we had an emergency plumbing issue and they were fast to respond. First visit. Repair done. The tech was pleasant and knowledgeable. Amazing service.
My husband and I just bought a fixer upper that was in desperate need of new wiring. We reached out and they were super helpful throughout the whole process. The electrician that came out was super upfront and honest of what needed to get done/ replaced. No surprise charges/ hidden fees. Highly recommend!
Very appreciative of Edgar for coming over quickly and helping us with opening a sticky valve for our water supply. He really saved us!
Additionally, he helped us pull out a shower cartridge that was stuck in there, and installed a new one. It was very much stuck such that he had to take extra time and effort to break apart the cartridge into little pieces and then pull that all out.
Overall he did a great job and it was a good price.
I've had back and neck challenges most of my adult life and my back tends to be hard for a lot of chiropracters to adjust... but not Dr. Mendoza. He can adjust my spine nearly 100% of the time. He's fast, effective and consistent and I'm so grateful the location of his office is so near to me.

I have to say for my first time getting a pedicure, it is amazing!!! These ladies do wonders with your feet. It was such a relaxing experience i would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nail salon. I do recommend calling ahead to get same day appointments so the salon can make sure a nail tech is available for you.
Nice little but totally legit place. Friendly staff and a great massage. Reasonable price.
