Are you looking for a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) who offers effective and positive training for your puppy or adult dog in the San Diego, Encinitas, Fallbrook, Solana Beach or Fairbanks Ranch area? If so, we highly recommend Christine Young, owner of The Puppy Care Company. We adopted a twelve-week-old puppy that was cute as could be. We quickly learned that we weren’t prepared for the crazy puppy jumping up on people, biting, crazy energy and later adolescent antics. That led us to searching for a trainer who specialized in puppies and adolescent dogs. We found Christine Young, who offers zoom sessions, as well as in person training. Working together with Christine, we learned how to turn frustrating and negative puppy behaviors into positive ones. Our pup viewed these training sessions with Christine and us as fun games. Little did our puppy realize that those games were helping her learn appropriate behavior without us yelling or using punishment correction. Everyone in our house was relieved and happy to be learning positive techniques that channeled our pup’s energy into appropriate behaviors. Christine’s training respects the dog’s needs, as well as helping the dog learn appropriate boundaries. Recently, we adopted a second dog and Christine was right there helping us with the transition. Christine’s extensive expertise, experience and care for her clients is evident from the very first training session. Christine is always there for us and our dogs, offering guidance and resources.“

“I moved my 2/3 pug 1/3 pittie-boxer foster fail love bug (Juan Pablo) from Camp-Run-A-Mutt to Paw Commons for doggy daycare.

Paw Commons has by far been the better experience for our pup. First, there is way more space, a great water feature where the dogs who want to get wet can frolic, and there are way fewer dogs (or simply just way more space for them).

My pup stopped wanting to get out of the car at the former place where at Paw Commons, he is super excited to go and jumps happily out of the car when we arrive.

This speaks volumes of the difference in experience he had. The humans at both places are professional and kind, it just seems like the dogs have a little more room to play, jump up on various things, hide under things and of course engage in water play if they want. 10/10. The owner of Paw Commons is very passionate about providing an amazing experience for the dogs. Perhaps something about being a franchise like Camp-Run-A-Mutt they need to get as many dogs as possible crammed in on any given day.

“Emily and her team are the best! They have different play and rest areas for the dogs, send great pictures, are communicative and flexible, and offer feedback and tips on your pup’s behavior. Fiona loves Down to Earth and I’m so happy to bring her there!“

She is so attentive to our dog, has worked with us back and forth on trying to troubleshoot a difficult issue with his skin, and takes the time to update me even from her personal weekend hours. “Worked with Maryna for a five day reverse board and train with our 4 month old cattle dog. He is very fearful of strangers and she was kind and patient with him. She provided daily pictures, videos and updates. He has a long way to go but we already are seeing improvements!“

I came into Snug in CRISIS! A dog sitting turned horrible, Jack ran away from me and fell into a canyon. After being rudely turned away by Petsmart La Jolla and given mixed information, I found Snug.

They rushed him in, immediately boarded him and gave him vet care right away! They were all increadibly kind, dedicated, and pretty!!
