Only an individual c a room temperature IQ at best would judge a surgeon based on the appearance of the office building. Offices are not sterile environments that is why pts are sent to the OR. I would take a skilled surgeon like Dr James Wu in a average office in appearance versus a substandard surgeon in a posh office. I have been evaluated for years by Dr Wu and my daughter since the age of 3 yo now 16 yo and he has evaluated both my husband and 34yo son who is also a Registered Nurse as I am. I recently had a procedure with Dr. Wu and his team and had an amazing experience. Dr. Wu explained everything thoroughly, the procedure went smooth and am healing well. I am grateful to have been referred to this provider, I was so anxious about any sort of surgery but was given the information and support needed and the day of surgery went so smooth, Dr. Wu and his team were all so kind and compassionate. I am just truly grateful.
Dr. Wu is an excellent doctor. He's thorough and knows his specialty well, but that's less difficult to find (it seems) in the US. What's more difficult is finding practitioners who are thoughtful and proactive, and truly care about your outcome.That means listening when you say the problem is significant and disruptive in your life, and responding with additional ideas/interventions as needed to solve the problem.I've had a lot of difficulties with my nose / sinuses / allergies, and have interacted with several doctors in the journey.
