About Madera Pet Hospital: Kallet A J DVM
Madera Pet Hospital, led by veterinarians such as Dr. Kim Robertson, is known for its kind and dedicated staff, who work hard to ensure both pets and their owners feel comfortable and cared for. The hospital is particularly praised for its understanding and patient handling of anxious animals, such as a dramatic Siberian Husky and an angry cat. The vet techs are noted for their efficiency and attentiveness, preparing everything in advance to minimize the time spent in the back and going out of their way to keep pets calm. Dr. Kim Robertson is highly regarded for her love and dedication to her patients, providing excellent advice and treatment, and offering support during difficult times, even suggesting other vets who can provide at-home care to make the experience more peaceful for the pet and their family. The hospital also offers a great online interface for accessing pet information and has fair and reasonable prices.
Caring Vet, vet techs& office staff. Your pet is treated like their family ! Instructions are verbal & written. The Dr let me know how I could try to help my cat loose a little weight, which in turn would lesson his arthritic pain. She used a gentle voice while doing her exam to keep “Mr Bunny” as ease. Techs were equally gentle and fully explained their treatments. I was parked next to a terrified yellow Lab. The staff came out to the car to treat him so he didn’t have to go into back clinic. WHAT MORE COULD ANYONE ASK FOR !!!!!!!! Awesome !
We've been bringing our long string of pets to VCA Madera Pet Hospital since January 1975 when our Afghan Hound broke both bones in his front leg because his playmate, our other Afghan Hound rear-ended him and his leg slipped through the stairs on our deck and snapped. That was a pretty horrible experience to deal with right then and our vet at the time wasn't up to the task and he sent us to Jerry Reinke over at Madera. Needless to say after surgery and a perfectly healed leg, we were sold on Dr. R and Madera. Fast forward 44 years through many dogs, cats, peach faced love birds, & rabbits, all who were treated at Madera Pet Hospital and many of whose lives were gently ended there. Our current vet is Dr. Tassano who is a real gem. Since Dr. Reinke is only doing surgeries now, Jethro did his best & broke his scapula when he was still a puppy just so that he could meet Dr. R! Obviously, we don't plan to take our pets anywhere else & we thank MPH for being available, high quality, and open on weekends (when all the accidents happen!) <3
